Being patient frightened me. I couldn’t just stand there, wait for her to pounce on me. I had to do something. But I know I need to wait if I want to win this war. She glared at me, with anger flaring from her nostrils. I closed my eyes, relaxing. She would have me, if not now.
Her footsteps were hard on the floor, which made it easier for me to find where she was. Every sudden move, I would know where she would be. She laughed out loud.
“Who do you think you are, to come before me? If you think your somebody greater than me---”
I grinded my teeth to not escape the fear from my mouth.
She gave out another laugh, with a different tone.
In a passion, I heard her race to me in a sudden blow.
The fall came, where I sank through my deepest fears, and all but peace was left.
If there was another way to beat her, it was to be with peace. It was her weakness. It was my greatest power.
