Amurita
As this thread nears 800 pages, I sit back and think of all the time I've invested on Gaia.
From the very first time I heard of the website and didn't join because I couldn't figure out an original username. Of when I finally join after seeing a banner for it in someone's sig. Of when I first realized that there are forums so large that I actually can't check each section for new posts, or even remember or read all the stickies of each forum (which I attempted to do when I first joined). That there are even avatar websites, and that it's fun to 'play dress-up'.
Of when I gave my first donation of 1g to one of those quest threads that said they'd even appreciate it, but was never thanks by one of them xD (it was a joint thread).
Of when I made my first quest thread (which, consequently, I just checked and only made it to 736pgs -woot- we're way past that now!).
Of the first mule, i made: Kanro Ame. (Aww, man I realised I missed both of his gaiaversaries t.t)
The first time I fished, used the marketplace, entered an avi contest, got a decent outfit.
Oh, and I can't believe I almost forgot: Questing for Christmas!
And of course, all the friends I've made here. You guys know who you are, whether it was keeping my company, giving me generous donations, continously bumping each other's threads, celebrating gaiaversaries and gaia events, it's been totally awesome <3
But lately, my interest in Gaia has waned. No longer do I log on and think of what I'll do on gaia today. I don't even find myself logging on more than a few minutes anymore.
I really do long for the days when I first joined 2 or so years ago in the summer. Where I always complained of being bored, but loved having a place where I can actually be bored with people xD
Venturing into new threads; being excited for item/event updates; and just having fun.
I do know how I can get back to that, how to enjoy this site again, but I find myself too busy with school, other sites, and just a lack of motivation to do something new on here.
It really sounds like I'm saying goodbye now isn't it?
Of course that's not the case. As I've said before, gaia's a drug that you just can't escape ;]
This is just my Official, Official Hiatus post.
Of course I'll log in once in a while to check to see if I have any messages or anything interesting happens on gaia (events; mc's) but other than that I don't see myself on here for long anymore.
So, with that said, all contests on this thread have been temporarily closed. I've contacted and sent trades to the three people who have entered the avatar contest, so hopefully that ties up some lose ends. In addition, as this thread is nearing 800 pages that will be the last page prize I'll redeem until I come back on gaia full time.

As I made this last statement, I went through my journal entries and missed how I used to write with so much more...enthusiasm for gaia and being in character as 'Amurita'. I'm gonna have to do that again someday.
