-6 months later-
A girl stood blankly on the side of the street staring up at the crying sky. The rain dripped down her pale face, mixing with her tears. Her dyed black hair was stuck to her face like it was glued and was all matted from her constantly running her hand through it. She was forced to shut her eyes after a while because the rain stung her eyes like a thousand angry bees. Her black tank top and short shorts didn't do much to warm up her body as the icy rain dripped down her neck and chest. How much longer could she take this? This life was worse than hell. She would know, she had been there and it wasn't so fun. She didn't want to go back there, ever.
"Fay, what are you doing out here? If you stay out in the rain for too long you will catch a cold." The girl turned and looked at the man that had been talking. His short white hair was still spiked a little, but most of it was lying on her tan face, his eyes where almost completely black, but they had a sad look to them, and his dark clothes clung to him, showing every curve and muscle of his body. Takami let a small smile come onto her face, when she saw him. He was the one person she trusted. He had replaced her family, and she would like to keep it that way.
"I told you, my name is Takami, not Fay. How many times must I tell you?" Takami walked up to the man and wrapped her arms around him, pressing her cheek to his chest. He was at least 6 inches taller than she was which made it easier to be held in his arms. She liked him and she always wanted to be near him, but sometimes she had to get away before she actually became happy. As Takami looked up, the man looked down and smiled, wrapping is arms around her. That was even better. Instead of him just standing there, he was warming her up, although he was soaked. Why is he always warm, even if he is soaked to the bone with icy water? Takami shook her head slightly, making the thought go away, for the moment anyways. "Damien, can we go home?"
"Sure, let's go home." He bent his head down and kisses Takami lightly on the forehead and let his arms drop to his sides. "But Jay is gunna kill me once he figures out I lost you for a bit." He winced at the thought of Jay's anger. He was probably going to yell like there was no tomorrow. Hell, for Damien, there probably wasn't a tomorrow.
Takami let Damien go and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You should let me worry about the boss, he can be a pain, but he won't hurt me. So can we please go? I haven't gotten sleep since, well... a few days ago I think. I haven't really kept track. And let’s not forget the little fact that it is as cold at the North Pole out here." Damien chuckled and nodded, wrapping a protective arm around Takami's shoulder, helping her to his motorcycle.
"Kami, do... do you hear that?" Damien asked, glancing around nervously. It sounded as if something was running towards them, and if that was happening they may be in trouble. His gazed stopped at an alley way and his body got stiff. He knew who it was, but she could tell if anyone had come with her.
"No, I didn't hear anything." Takami felt Damien stiffen and she got a confused look on her face. "Damien, what's wrong? Is there something in the alley way?" She had followed his gaze to the alley and was wondering what was there. Since she was so curious as to why Damien seemed so scared of the alley way, Takami shrugged Damien's arm away from her and jogged off towards the alley.
"TAKAMI! Get BACK HERE! NOW!" Damien hollered taking a few large steps towards Takami and grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her back into his arms. Before Takami could protest a large black wolf stepped out of the shadows, snarling at the two of them. Takami's eyes grew huge and she backed up unto Damien. Damien turned his back to the wolf, shielding Takami from the wolf.
"Damien, what are you doi-" Takami was cut off by Damien's lips stealing her own. He had never been this bold before, which confused Takami, but she wasn't complaining... much. They were in danger, it was no time to start a romantic moment, but Takami was forgetting it all. This is what she had wanted for so long. How could she complain? Ever since he had let her live at his house, she had wanted him to kiss her, touch her, anything. It wasn't right for a 15 year old to think this way, but she was hopelessly in love with Damien and hey, she was turning 16 in about a month. What ended up bringing Takami back to reality was Damien pulling away from her mouth and resting his cheek on hers.
"Takami, listen to me. I need you to go back to the motorcycle and go back to the house. Wait for me there. Can you do that for me?" Damien whispered into Takami's ear, listening as the wolf walked forward. "Make it quick, forget about the helmet, just jump on and get out of here." Damien kissed her gently on the cheek and pushed her towards the motorcycle.
Takami hesitated for a second and then bolted for the motorcycle, knowing that Damien would come back. He would keep his word or she would kill him herself.
