a sat-sam ... it can't spell!!
crying
I can't!
anyway. sonce i probably spelt it wrong, otnight I had my first out-of-house sat-sam. Where you go to mediate and read alter cool stuff of spirituality.
I meditate very little, but I want to do it more. the first medtation of the sat-sam my mind began to wander and I somehow got into the songs of the movie Mulan..... sweatdrop
well, the readings of tonight were about paitence (sp?) and how you must not rush you're spiritual path for enlighenment will, in the end, happen when it's supposed to.
Like in today's world we have to RUSH so much that we have no time to talk to one another or learn spirituality and gain wisdom. So when you get into spirituality, you wanna ush it, you think that you should be further into it then you are b rushing. And when people get ferustraed they stop meditating and go back to rush-work.
And then I realized that I was rushing too! I know about spiritual things and I guess I thought that I shold be further into meditation then I am. But I wasn't being paitent with myself.
So we had another group meditation at the end and I thought, OM while trying to focus really hard. But once I thought I was doing well, I wanted to scratch my head, then my leg, then my arm. but I didn't strach! (I ended up clitching my fists so much to try to get my mind off it.)
I personally think I did very well. 3nodding
I rememeber from a sat-sam we had at my house, my mom reading something about how when you meditate you hear things and you get itchy because it's you're ego trying to keep you from doing this. Which makes sense to me. The ego doesn't want to you leave, thus it'll try to pull you down. But you can look at this in a good way to 'cause then you can see the ego as a teacher that always gives you a B when you deserve an A, but once you are able to prove the A (enlighenment) is yours to claim the ego can do nothing but let you take it. Thus you become stronger. YAY!
after that we had something to eat then left, it was very enjoyable really, I'm looking forward to the next one.
