Prom Night
Landing just outside a building rattling with techno music, Dragon looked up and saw that the building was called Fanterious Hotel. Seeing numerous Gaians walking in, Dragon glanced down at her outfit. Snapping her fingers, she changed out of one outfit into another--the new one more appropriate for a night of dancing--before approaching the front doors. She also magicked away her horns, wings and tail just in case there were any hunters about.
"Eyyy! Welcome to Gaia Prom!" a man next to the doors said. He had a duck tail hairstyle and a glaringly pink tux. "The name's Edy and I'm chaperonin' this shindig. Go ri' on in, ri' on in, ladies and gents!"
As Dragon approached the doors, Edy stopped her and said, "Now dahlin, there be no enterin without formal gear. This is after all, prom."
"Rules are overrated, Pinky," Dragon said. "And this is the most formal outfit you're going to get me in."
"Wasn't talkin about nah dress," Edy said. Handing Dragon a watch, Edy said, "Just a watch is all."
"Uh huh," Dragon said, taking the watch and going inside. Almost immediately, she threw the watch in the nearest trashbin.
Even as a dragon it took a few minutes for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, the swirling globes that threw sparks of light all over the place, laser lights, and fog machines spewing fog that was a bit too thick. Lifting an eyebrow, Dragon saw some of Gaia's top citizens on the dance floor.
Ian and Rufus were jittering about in a way that Dragon assumed was dancing--though they were getting more "WTF?" stares than "Awww yeah!" stares. Natasha and Liam were grinding away at each other--though the Van Helsing sisters were watching jealously from the shadows (and, from what Dragon could see, they appeared to be attached at the ear). Edmund and Vanessa were some 70's style John Travolta dance.
Suddenly, someone shoved Dragon rudely aside. Catching her balance, Dragon saw Gambino strut into the prom. Because she did not come to the prom for a fight--but angry enough to mouth off--Dragon threw her voice so it appeared to come from somewhere else. "Watch where you're going, moron!"
As Gambino looked around for who mouthed off to him, Dragon moved further away from the door so that she wouldn't be bumped into as easily. Looking up, Dragon saw that the interior of the twelve story building was completely hollow. Girders, gangways, and platforms provided more room for those who couldn't fit downstairs or for those who were more for people watching than dancing.
Considering she was one of the latter ones, Dragon climbed stairs until she was about six stories up. Finding an empty booth, Dragon flagged down a waiter and ordered a drink.
"And what's a fine young thing like you doing all alone on a night like this?"
Looking up, Dragon saw two identical guys standing in front of her. Without invitation, the two sat down in the booth on either side of Dragon--blocking her in. A look at their quick smiles and a scan of their nearly luminescence skin, Dragon wasn't afraid. They may be vampires but she was a dragon--and at one time was a vampire herself with that catastrophe this last Halloween.
"Well I had to get some air and where better than the prom?" Dragon said. "Things seem in pretty full swing. Is this the first night?"
"No," the vampire on her right, with the red caravat, said. "It's the second. Why show up on the second night?"
"Because I like being out of the ordinary," Dragon replied. "So tell me boys. What're your names?"
"Why bother with names?" the vampire to her left asked, brushing Dragon's hair off her shoulder. "Lets just be anonymous."
Turning her full attention to the vampire on her left, Dragon said, "How about we not neck. It's too early a--"
From the upper portion of her vision, Dragon saw a black and white diamond encrusted headpiece. Snarling, Dragon threw her arm back and smashed her fist into Vampire Red Cravat's face. Immediately throwing the fist forward, Dragon smashed it into Vampire White Dress Shirt's face.
As Dragon tried to move out from under the headpiece--the white and black diamonds would nullify her powers and put her in a trance if Dragon allowed it to land on her head--she suddenly found herself pinned down by not the twin vampires, but a multitude of them as they leapt out of every shadow to hold her still.
"Do you REALIZE who you're dealing with!?" Dragon demanded as she struggled.
"Our game," the vampires replied. "We're going to make sure you last a long time before we let you go."
Just as the headpiece settled on her head, Dragon snarled, "WRONG A--neh?"

Dragon's House
Poking Nogard and Xangord in the arm Wolf cocked his head. "Shal, love? Your aunts just got all wide eyed and stopped moving.
Walking over from the kitchen, Shalimar wiped her hands on a dishtowel and said, "What d'you mean they--oh hell. Where's Xink?"
"I think he's outside playing with the kids and Wynn," Wolf replied. By kids, he meant Ette, Nate, Varda, and Varden. "Why?"
"Because he doesn't need to see his mother like this," Shalimar said. Walking around behind Nogard and reaching through the roaring flames that was her aunt's hair and wings, Shalimar began pulling her backwards. "Wolf, grab Aunt Xangord and bring her to my room."
Doing as told, Wolf said, "Isn't that a bit kinky? Unless your aunts swing that way."
"Concentrate gutter-boy," Shalimar said. "Wynn can't see them like they are right now because she'll freak out. Xink can't see his mom the way she is because he'll freak out."
"What do you think happened to them?"
"It's more of a question of what happened to mom," Shalimar said, worry touched her voice only a little. "When something happens to mom, Aunt Nogard, or Aunt Xangord--now that they all live in the same dimension--it directly affects the other two."
Shalimar had at one point, while they were on Riverworld, explained her family's bizarre history to Wolf so he was not in the least phased. Shifting his grip a little on Xangord, Wolf said, "Would you like me to track your mom for you?"
"Would you?" Shalimar asked, as they had reached her room. "It would be less suspicious if you were to go than I would."
"What about Big Sister?" Wolf asked, meaning Nerissa.
"Nerissa?" Shalimar said, laying her aunts on the floor.
"Yes?" Nerissa asked, her hologram head appearing in Shalimar's room.
"I am ordering you not to tell anyone about what's happened to Aunt Nogard, Aunt Xangord, and mom or that Wolf is going to go find mom," Shalimar said. "Authorization Oscar 5-813-0972."
"Aye," Nerissa said. Turning so that she could look at Wolf, she said, "I would send my avatar with you but it is still currently being repaired by Ikkit."
Nissa had been attacked by the ABCDE upon returning home. Ikkit was working night and day without sleep to fix the damage.
"That's alright, I'm a big wolf," Wolf replied. Turning to Shalimar as the hologram nodded and disappeared, he said, "I won't be gone long, love."
"Good luck and be careful," Shalimar said, kissing Wolf.
