The lights flashed violently as I ran down the sidewalk to go to work. Even though people think my work is absurd and that I’ll never do any good for the world, I never listen. Thunder silenced out everything…people scattered around the streets like a war was going on. Though it has been 20 years since our last war, the universe would still never be the same. People afraid to come out at night because of the creatures the crave for their blood and for the creatures that maul you to shreds. I could feel my heels running faster at the thought, but I just kept thinking of my work. When I finally made it to the tall gray building I knew I was home.
Some people many think home is a place to relax and to enjoy life, but my home is my work…my specialty. No body was in the office today thanks to the storm. I closed all the blinds and turned on the bright carotene lanterns. Oh how I remember when I was a little girl and we had electricity and heaters but those are all gone now, since the people who new how to use them are now all dead. The animals were freaking out and the creatures stood calm. I walked up close to one of my subjects named a3324 a half man half wolf creature.
“How are you today a3324, I see tonight will be a full moon…I hope you will change for me.” His haul filled the room as it echoed.
“Ha you silly thing trying to scare me that’s impossible.” I said regardless of what well happen in the future.
Though my studies say that these creatures are really wolves I think not sometimes. I know what they are I just can’t prove it, it makes me so mad that I just can’t think straight all I can think about is dissecting and implanting the DNA into a human. Even if it’s risky I want to try it. I walked a long the corridor leading my self into the bossy private office. The door creaked when I opened it, but there she was lying petite on her chair. She was a very strange person, with her red blazing hair, her bronze skin, and her light blue eyes that make you stop in her presence.
“Professor Langar, I was just wondering if I might test a subject?”
“Which one Alice, the only ones you can test today is w1253 and a3324.”
“ I’ll take a3324 if you don’t mind Miss.” I said gently while grazing my fingertips across a stake of unfilled papers.
“Can you at least tell me what you’re going to be testing on?”
“Well, see that’s were you come in professor. I need you to help me… I ‘m going to be a testing subject.”
“WHAT! But Alice that’s too risky for you… I mean…. your not…no!” she screamed.
“But professor it’s the only way to know…please for the safety of the world.”
“Fine but we’re doing it my way okay?”
“Yes miss what ever you say.
