1) Anniversary; March 15th.
It is almost our 1st Anniversary. I am quite excited for what people have in store for us, kind of like a gift, may be a new change. At least, something new might happen, I hope. March 15 is the date of our Anniversary, which is in another few days. I am very surprised that it has been a whole year already, since then. I always think, that even though some people may hate going to school, and that it is very boring, especially if you have to be in school for 10 months and have tons of homework to do for so many classes, I think it’s worth it in the end. Every second of everyday, counts, in a small way. And after you get out of high school or college and get a job, if you focused or tried your best in school, the small things add up to something rewarding, an enormous advantage above a few, some, or even many people.
Many quotes can be used to describe these things. Nonetheless, if you were thinking Anniversary between me and my husband/boyfriend, then I have successfully befuddled you. I am very sorry and apologize sincerely, however, I could not resist. It has actually been a year since I have had my braces. So, in turn, you can mistake my 1-year surprise, with an actual 1st Anniversary. Everything I said about the “Anniversary” was true, but this time, it’s because of my braces. The “people” I was talking about, were the orthodontist and his assistant, I hope they give me my rubber bands, instead of changing my wires. Something new really, I do hope.
2) Spring Break; March 15th-25th.
Well, the 15th is Friday, we’re not off because Good Friday the Friday after that. So we have a full week of school before the break. That means I have to take my Spanish “Quest” [quiz/test] on Friday, the 3rd Quarter County Assessment for Biology and American Government, a test for Am. Govt., and a vocabulary test for English. Ew! There is too much to study for, and too much to worry about.
Lastly, it turns out, my parents aren’t going to Texas to visit my relatives, and because of that, I don’t have to go stay at my Aunt’s house with my Grandmother, not that I would have minded really. I think that my Grandma, Mom, and Dad, are good cooks. Though my Dad does not know how to cook many things, it is still good to make an empty stomach full, like my sister’s and mine. =]
3) Concert Tour; March 17th.
I have never, ever been to a concert before. I would love to go to this one the most; however, I can’t, because I’m going to be in VA, so yea, it’s sad really. My Dad said he would allow me to, which shocked me. That’s because, it’s going to be a huge concert, and I mean, it might start a riot, there could be fights, there’s going to be people that might do whatever in general.
4) Blood and the hospital; February 16th.
It was in February, and I think it was on this day, that I had to go to a scheduled appointment, to the doctor’s, and get my blood taken and checked. Well, I was very excited, and I had previously discussed with Sarah, that getting you blood taken, was very interesting and really cool. Alice told me and her, that we were insane and that it hurts. We, however, disagree and say that watching the blood run into the tube, was the weirdest, but like, just really fascinating. When we got to the hospital, at around 7am, on a Saturday, we waited and filled out a form, then my Dad, sister, and I, went to get our blood taken. Actually, my Dad came along; it’s just me and my sister, Rachel.
I volunteered to go first, so when the lady asked me a few simple questions, for some reason, I fumbled on them and we all started to laugh. I got my blood taken; they took 2 and ½ tubes of it. There was a slight sharp pain, which gave me quite an adrenaline rush. My sister was getting hers taken from across the room from me. When we were done, I got a yellow crayon bandage from the nurse. We all went home and I could not wait to tell my friends about the experience…pure adrenaline, it was awesome!
5) Class Field Trip; February 25th, 2008.
1. The Past and the Present.
That day, was when I went to the Science Center in Baltimore, to see the new exhibition, and an I-Max Motion Picture. It was about the body, really. My 4A class, went with the 4B class, and both of the classes were accompanied, by 2 senior classes, I believe. Our 2 sophomore classes that went were both Biology 10 Honors class. We had chaperons of course, but we were not separated into groups, thankfully. On the bus, I sat with one of my one of my friends, Sarah, while Alice was behind me, and beside her was Ashley. It turns out, the Science Center, was a place where I have been to a long time ago, when I was younger. I went with my sister, Rachel, and my Dad. We uncovered dinosaur fossils, and communicated across a room by whispering to each other, at a somewhat-looking dish-type mechanism. It was quite amazing and fascinating to me how it worked.
2. Entering and Exploring.
Anyway, back to the Field Trip. We entered the building with piece of wrap on our wrists, to show the employees, that we were permitted to enter. I looked around and saw some things that I recognized and was surprised to see many new items that were added, while others looked brand new, so I motioned for my friends to come with me, and try them. One of the new ones showed you how objects moved in fluid. Another that displayed an electric current, from the bottom of 2 wires, and rose up them, the wires were gradually separating. There was a different mechanism, where one person sat in a harness, while another person sat in a harness diagonal from them or adjacent. Both would try and pull on a rope in front of them, so they could rise up from the bottom.
3. The Movie, Popcorn, and…A Surprise.
Ms. DeVault, our sophomore Biology teacher, instructed us to follow her to the I-Max Theater. Sarah was to my right, and Alice was to my left, Jeff was on my behind me, on my left, and Mercy was a seat below me, and to my far right. Jeff and Mercy were in my class as well. During the show, Mercy would share the popcorn with me, which was quite expensive, as expected from Baltimore popcorn; however, it was very salty and buttery. To me, it tasted delicious. Sarah and Alice said it tasted disgusting, because it was so salty.
The motion picture was on everyday life, of an average family, where there were expecting parents, for their first child, who baby-sited another family’s children, a brother and sister. It showed a typical school day, how Luke’s (the brother), body worked, with the lungs and heart and such. The narrator explained that the skeletal vision of the human body had helped scientists learn of the body, greatly. From how Luke would ride his bike to school and drink water. Also how when the body would get hot, it gives off the heat through sweat, whereas the thermal view of the heat rising from Luke’s body, was almost like vapor, or basically smoke rising something that is hot; therefore, cooling the body.
The clip also informed us of hormones and puberty, along with how our cells divide, the sperm, egg, and how a child was made. I-Max was the most advanced motion picture, so it was really cool, to see and learn on a screen, that was bigger than a movie theater’s, I think. After the movie, there was profuse chatter of how the 30-second-talk of an enlarged picture of someone popping their acne, which, even now…is disgusting, but mostly everyone does it.
4. The Body.
There, I saw real live humans that had donated parts or their whole body to the expedition. Most of which, were with no epidermis, which was the part that freaked most people out. Many of us thought it was amazing and awing. I saw the “Ponder.” It was a man, with no skin, who was sitting with one leg crossed over the other, and he was…well, pondering. You could see his blue eyes, which looked like plastic, and his muscle tissues, along with his spin and such. Half of his back was pulled open, so you could see the inside.
I also saw lungs; clean, healthy ones, compared to a smoker’s, and a coal miner’s. The smoker’s lungs had been gray-ish black mainly, but not pitch black. However, all of the coal miner’s lungs were black, like when you color a picture fully in led pencil. It was gleaming silver-gray-black in the light. Next, I saw the every vein in the human body in a case. I also saw a child’s skull and an adult skull. There were so many interesting things in the museum. It was mainly, adult males and females that were skinned to show how our body’s tendons and bones looked like and worked. They were preserved, so it looked real. At the end of the exhibit, I touched a horse and…it felt soft and well cared for; and I saw inside the horse’s stomach, which was…a bit creepy.
5. Getting Lost, Food, and Stalking With Great Laughter.
I had lost my chaperon by then, and I was currently not really surprised, however, me and Mercy wanted to make sure our chaperon, Mr. Casto, knew where we were. In the end, he was far ahead of us, and we later caught up; Jeff, Mercy, Alice, Sarah, and I went to a gift store that was above the dinosaur expedition. I tried calling out one of my senior friend’s name, Nate, but he just looked around himself, and not up. I tried a few more times; then I gave up and looked around the store. Jeff bought a book for Mercy, because she wanted it and didn’t have enough money; she wants to be a Neuron Surgeon. Our chaperon told me, Alice, Sarah, and Mercy, if we wanted to go eat; we all nodded our heads and headed off to the Food Court.
We went to the second floor and there, Mercy went and bought fries and a drink, while Sarah bought fries and a pretzel. Alice and I had already brought lunch. I brought a bologna sandwich, which Rachel made for me; Soy Bean Milk; a filled bottle water of Sunny Delight; 2 chocolate balls with peanuts and a big nut inside [forgot the name]; Doritos; milk Chocolate Hershey Bar; and lastly, Tapioca Pudding. They were all stored in my…Nike bag [the ones with the drawstrings]. There were 6 places to sit of the 3 tables that were together. I sat at the end of the 2nd row of seats, Sarah sat at the beginning, across from Mercy, and Alice sat beside Mercy, on the other side of the table. Basically, Row 1 was: Mercy, Alice, and seat; Row 2 with: Sarah, seat, and me.
Then we all saw Jeff and his friend, which looked familiar to me. The kid sat between Sarah and me, while Jeff sat at the end, across from me. I started by asking the guy, if I knew him. He says yea, and that we were introduced about 5 times already. I start laughing and remembered his name was Tommy, which was hilarious. Well, one of us started to look over and waved to the 2 teachers that lead the Field Trip. They sat in clear view and every now and then, me, Jeff, Alice, or Tommy, would look over the metal bar to the teachers and someone would start laughing. Tommy claims Jeff to be stalking them in a way, and we all laughed for a long while. I accompanied Mercy to get her ice cream, so then we just wandered around the Food Court for…about 15 minutes or so, and finally she got her ice cream. The guy stuffed so much in such a little cup, so then we started laughing profusely again, and then proceeded back to our table, upstairs.
6. The Green Bike, The Penguin, The Recorder, and The Chairs.
After we had all finished our meal, our small group went ahead and started back to the bus. Since we all basically had no chaperons, we all of course, goofed around like a bunch of adolescent teenagers. I was sandwiched by Alice and Sarah, about a dozen or so times. Then we all stopped and started giggling about this…green bike that was 3-D, yet it was really just half a bike. Like, the seat was in the shape of a seat, but 2-inches in width. I tried to get on the bike, but it was too high, so Tommy says to stand on the little ledge and sit on the seat. I tried that, then got off, because it was…quite uncomfortable, and so we all moved on, after Mercy, Tommy, and Alice tried to get on. Then, out of no where, there was another green bike! By now, we all concluded that it was for people to tie their bikes to, or, since it was green, to tell people to recycle, or maybe, it was to say for people to get exercising.
All of them were fine ideas, and then Jeff and Tommy saw these…chairs. They looked a bit awkward, so most of us sat down, while Jeff continued to record everything, on his new phone, the Verizon Voyager, I believe. Any who, the chairs were connected to the table’s stem, by a thick rod, one for one chair on top of another for another chair, which was on top of the 3rd chair’s rod. You would sit on the seats and just pull yourself around. It was fun, then the chairs banged together and got stuck, so Jeff pushed my chair, which pushed Tommy’s and Rebecca, a girl from Jeff’s group, was pulling herself along the way. I got off and went to the penguin and tried to mimic it. I failed miserably. So we all walked up the steps to the buses, got on the wrong bus, and then took our seats.
THE END
6) Leap Year.
Every year, 1/4 of a day is added to February. That's why a Leap Year happens every 4 years. 1/4 * 4 = 1. So, on a Leap Year, there is 366 days; on February 29th. Making it 365 & 1/4 or 0.25 days, per year.
7) Classes.
Man, next year is going to be excruciatingly difficult and exhausting. The classes that I signed up for my 3rd year in high school, soon to be a junior! Yes! Then, one more year, in this drab and doleful place administers call a “school.” Actually, it’s not that bad really.
Next Year’s Classes [Meh ish Junior] something along these lines:
Pre-Calculus
Chemistry G/T
English 11 Honors
Independent Research G/T
Modern World History Honors
Introduction to Photography I
?

9) Music; in general, the new songs/old songs I have recently heard and are listening to. [ALSO, COMING SOON! or late...]
10) The worst night in my entire life; somewhere between or in June-August.
I know that this may be so stupid and it just does not matter anymore, but I just wanted you to know, that I still love you. Do you remember that night when I was apologizing for a long while, that I logged onto Gaia around four in the morning, because I could not sleep? I bet you do not. Its fine really, I mean, I do not expect you to remember it. However, that night, was the most excruciating thing I had ever felt. I was in bed, because it was a school night, and I had to go to sleep. I usually stayed up all night, until I my parents told me to go to sleep, instead of doing homework; I anxiously wanted to talk to you. We talked for hours on end. Nonetheless, that night, my heart had hurt so much. I cannot even begin, or fathom, how to describe the pain. I lay in my bed, and then out of nowhere, I began crying. Then my chest started to scrunch up. I could not breathe. It felt like, there was a huge hand, that wrapped its fingers around my torso, and squeezed all of the air out of my lungs. I could not feel anything. My heart, I could not feel it beating, pumping any blood. I felt, as if, another hand had slammed into my chest, and took a tight grip onto my heart, and squeezed. I could feel pins, needles, or may be even sharp, shattered glass, that just, stabbed and pierced my heart. I tried to make it all stop, but I could not. My hand could not reach my heart. I felt, as if I was being crucified, like a nightmare, where people had sticks, all of them, just stabbing directly at my heart, like there was a target on it. Every one of the sharp arrowheads dug into my heart, right on target, bull’s eye. I curled up into a ball, trying so hard not to let the blood that I felt, come crashing out. I wrapped my arms around myself, wishing that this had never had happened, it was not ever supposed to happen; nothing of this proportion, ever. That night, so many tears came out, so many. Even when it was around three in the morning, when I thought I had calmed down, so I could sleep, to get up in the morning, hoping no one would notice that I had not gotten enough sleep, and was crying instead; tears came, salty and fresh tears, slid down from my eyes, down my cheeks and off my face. I had wet hair and a wet pillow and some parts of my blanket were wet. That was the night I had lost my first love, and hopefully the last. I do not think I could stand it, if I were to love again, and hurt the one that loved me, that was or is not a family member or friend.
