SO Dio's ******** up his back and is seriously freaked that there's something wrong.
Yesterday I was sitting at the computer like I normall do. When I stood up it felt like my back had to crack so I did the twisting crack thing that I always do. Then I was hungry so I went on a search for food. My back still felt like it had to crack so it was getting really uncomfortable
Finding that the food downstairs was not to my appetite I headed upstairs. I took three steps up before I hit the floor.
I have no idea what exactly happened but there was an intense pain in my lower back and I just fell on the stairs. For a good five minutes I couldn't move.
And while I'm on the stairs shivering in pain all I can think is "I wish I had one of those medical alert buttons old people have." haha!
So I force myself to get back to my feet and walk back over to the computer where the phone is...lucky lucky me the person I tried to call was away from the phone. (my mother)
So I figure that it's a five minute thing and I've pulled a muscle or something cause this has happened before....nope. Pain only intensifies. So now I'm getting a little freaked out and decide I'll get some medication. So I crawl up the stairs, I grab some muscle relaxants that my dad has use before and I head into the kitchen and try my mother again. No answer. ********.
So I'm sitting at the table for a long time just wondering who do I call. For the life of me I couldn't remember anyone number except for my mothers. So I go through the phone's missed calls and find my Grandma's. I call her.
My cousin picks up and I'm already freaking out at this point because I can't walk and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone who could help. My grandma gets the phone and I'm trying to explain to her what happened but she can't understand me because I'm a mix of mumbles and whimpers.
Eventually she gets the jist and the phone are ringing all over town. In the course of five minutes my cousin Tanelle and Lyndsey knew I was hurt, My aunty Linda knew, my father knew, my grandma willie knew, my mother knew and my sister knew.
So my aunt comes by to pick me up and take me to the hospital. WHile I'm on the phone with my dad he tell me to forget the hospital and go to the walk-in clinic...which doesn't start till 5 and it's now only 2:30.
My aunt finds another one close to my house and we go there...lovely they were turned into a dental office and we have to go across town.
Now...this back pain was bad to the point I was hunched over like a 90 year old man and even then I nearly collapsed a good dozen times.
So we finally get into a walkin clinic and I'm taken in right away. I'm asked to lay down and the doctor checks out my back. She can find anything wrong with it...now I have to get up.
Worst part yet. I was on crappy painkillers that had yet to kick in twisting and turning my back in the most painful manners.
So the doc gives me a persciprtion for two really REALLy heavy duty painkillers and sends me for x-rays. I couldn't walk after that and had to move around in a wheelchair.
Now this was an adventure and a half. Just getting on the table was hard but I have to lie down and twist and turn and move in very painful ways.
When I got off the table we were moved to the waiting room while the doc looked through the x-rays....she came back and told me that the cushion between two of my vertabrae's was thin...much too thin. So my entire family is now freaked out and they're scaring the crap out of me.
We were told someone was going to look at the x-rays today but I have to wait to find out until monday...so I'm really nervous as hell because I'm not sure what I'm going to have to go through if this cushion thing is the problem and my parents leave tomorrow morning for the rest of the month.
Thankfully the drugs I've been taking are quite powerful and have worked wonders for the pain. I woke up this morning with the ability to actually walk up right. Still hurts to sit up though.
Hopfully tomorrow I'll be a-okay.
