Who Are You
A young girl named Mina Manotaki, about the age of eighteen years. It was the most fascinationg four years of her life so far, and it was about to be her last day of her high school years. Mina’s small famiy didn't have the most money in the world. Of course they had just enough to put food on the table,pay for shelter, and have clothes to wear every day. Her mother usually was never home because she had to work in Yakima, Washington, so she could pay the bills that were always a bother.
Mina lived in Salem, Oregon, which was very nice, but it seemed so lonely and tiny to this girl. All Mina had wnated was adventure in her life and nothing more. She was usually feeling down because of her mother's stress and her lack of bonding with her mother. Luckily when she was younger her best friend, Keiki had always looked out for her and they stuck together about all of their lives.
She lived with her mother, but an unfortunate accident had occur which caused her father to die in a car accident. The girl had only been two years of age when her father had passed away, so she had not grown up quite the happiest life ever. The only thing that Mina can remember her father is only by pictures and this special little doll. Her father had died a few weeks after Christmas and he had given Mina a little doll named Molly, as her present.
Mina was playing on the computer on a late spring night when her mother yelled out to her,“Mina I suggest you head off to bed already. Tomorrow is your last day and I won't tolerate you ditching that day!”
“Oh alright Mother, I'll go to bed in a minute!” Mina had shouted back a bit irritated at her mother constantly reminding her every night to go to bed. Mina shut off the lights as she yawned laying on her bed carefully. She reached under her pillow and grasped her doll with one hand and then slowly began to fall into a deep sleep.
"Mina you’re almost late for school!” She said loud enough to slightly wake up the tired girl, Mina.
"Alright, alright I'm coming."She got dressed and went down the stairs. *bark* Her puppy, a German Shepard wagged her tail quickly which meant she was very happy today. "Hey Sadie! Mom can you give Sadie her food and water please! I don't want a detention for being late,” Mina begged.
"Alright Mina here is a bagel, eat while you run.” She says while grabbing her purse.
“Bye, see you tonight!”she said going to run to school quickly.
Mina looks at watch "Oh man I'm going to be late again!” she screamed. She ran till she got to her school she wasn't as late as she thought. Just a little bit, enough that no one would notice. Mina went to her locker and put her book bag in and some books out for her classes.
"Mina you just made it for class, this time you have to get ahead of time!" Keiki one of her close friends said quietly.
"Hey where is our herbology teacher?” Mina wondered
"She isn't here yet! What is taking her so long?" Keiki said while getting her flowering tools ready. Principal comes in “You are having a substitute teacher his name is Hayate you may call him Mr. H for short if you like. Treat him nicely or I'll give you detention.” He declared.
Mina said quietly and giggled,” Doubt that!”
"There is no need for that; I'll give them a punishment.” Hayate told the principal as he walked through the door. The principal left the room. “ Class as you know I am now the substitute teacher as your herbology teacher I want respect no talking or I'll give you a punishment.”he told the class angrily.
”Mina don't you think that our herbology subs was sort MEAN?’’Keiki asked Mina. Mina doesn't answer because she is day dreaming.“Mina, are you thinking about guys?” she said while waving her hand in front of her.
“Oh sorry….oh yea he is kind of mean but….”she said while being interrupted by the bell.“Sorry Keiki I have to go home fast… I need to do something, oh! Lets see if we can go out to the theaters ok, Later!”she told Keiki.
“Ok bye talk to you on the phone!” Keiki yelled to her. Mina started off into the woods for a long walk. She stopped to take a little rest.“The deeper I get in this forest, the darker it gets, and it gives me the shivers.”Mina said to herself. The wind started to go up. Petals started to fall from the branches of the trees. The branches shake but it isn't the harsh wind pushing them it is someone in them. Mina turned to see what is shaking she notices it isn't the wind, she started to run and panic. She ran as fast as she could with all her might. She had a gate around the house, she said the password. She quickly closed the gate behind her.
“Whatever that was, it gave me the creeps!”she squealed while panting and walking to her fountain with a little black bench beside it. Her fountain was pure white with pure blue water coming out of it. Some of the mist fell onto Mina’s face. She began to wipe it all but after a little bit she didn’t really care. She sat down on the seat and started to place her school bag with her purse under the bench.
Mina started to lay on the bench she put her head on one side of the bench and her feet dangling out the other end. “I think I’ll take a little nap out here.”she said quietly and while yawning. A sudden noise made her head pop up as she reached into her pocket. “Oh it’s Keiki I forgot about her.”She also noticed it had been four hours and she actually took a nap. She said while picking up the phone.
“Mina you totally forgot about me…rude!!!” Keiki yelled on the phone
“I'm sorry I'm sorry!” she said and then looked at the fountain.
“You better be sorry I was waiting for you to call me first, whenever you say I'll call you, I always do it!!!”she yelled at Mina. Mina looked ahead with shock. She saw people sitting and standing on the fountain. She saw four adults and three kids. She looked at one of the adults
“Hayate?” she wondered.
“Mina! Is Hayate there? I knew it! You were hitting on the subs! Are you there? Mina! Where are you Mina?!!!!” She said screaming and you can tell she is worried about her. “Mina I'm coming over now, I'm going over there to see what is going on over!”she screamed louder. Mina still didn't pay attention. She hung up the phone, and dropped it without noticing. “Hayate how, how did you get here with these people it is impossible to get through these gates,”Mina said asking more and more questions. Hayate didn't answer her questions, which seemed foolish to him. Mina told him, “Hayate get your gang out of here, this isn't a public place." The smallest child of the group went up the other and held her hands and nodded.“So she is it eh?” One of the other adults said with white hair.
“Well, Mina tell Keiki not to come in.” Hayate demanded.
“No, why would I want to not let her come in?” Mina said while standing up with her hands on her hips releasing the little boy‘s grip.
“Because we want you to, Mina this is all serious matter.” Hayate demanded angrily.
“No, she will come if you like it or not!” Mina yelled
Keiki ran as fast as she could. Mina saw her in the corner of her eyes, she knew the password, so she would come right in, and faced the direction of her. “Mina what happened?” Keiki wondered. Mina looked back in the direction where they all were, but they disappeared.
“Mina were you just trying to startle me?” Keiki told Mina while her hands were on her hips.
"Uh…yea hehehe.” she put up a fake laugh. “I wonder what happened to them any way."Mina asked herself in her mind.
“Well, Mina are we going to the movies or what." Keiki wondered.
"Yea I'll be right back let me put my stuff away.” Mina said while going inside. She asked her mother if she could go and of course she said yes. After that they headed for the theater.
"Well, Shin is she the one?” Hayate questioned one of his companions with yellow hair, it was the youngest of the kids.
"Yes, she is the one, she is very powerful to.” Shin told Hayate determinly.
''As soon as we can convince her that she is the pretear the sooner we can find...” Sasame the white hair said being interrupted by Hayate. “Himeno, The sooner we can find Himeno the better.”
“Hayate let me talk to you privately.” Sasame told Hayate. Hayate nodded. Everyone began to set out for clues to find Himeno or Mina.
