Distant dreams block my view of the smog filled sky
Why do i wish to see it?
What is so special about the drying sky?
Its my home, its my memory
What i grew up with.
The clouds are no longer a soft snow white
Beautiful and flowing
There is a coat of dirt and smoke
form all the developments we made
to mold the world to our needs
The developments are our crutch
and having this crutch is what kills so much
so many people
so many unborn lives
This is what causes my sleepless nights
the nightmares i receive every time my eyes close

I am afraid
Afraid to sleep, afraid to close my eyes
Afraid to let my body rest
