Where the land meets the sky. That’s where the heroes go to die. It’s on those dusty plains, Where they get swallowed by the flames.
The clouds release their waters. The blood gets swept by the rain. The water falls around me, But it can’t wash away the pain.
I’m dying on the outside, As I’m drowning in the rain. I’m dying on the inside, As I’m drowning in the pain.
It hurts to be left here to die. It hurts cause I can’t even cry.
The water falls so fast. The water falls so free. The water only numbs the pain, As the water falls right through me.
The rain lets up it’s pace, When the sun decides to show it’s face. The light doesn’t seem to help. For me the sun has no place.
I’m dying on the outside, As I’m drowning in the rain. I’m dying on the inside, As I’m drowning in the pain.
It hurts to be left here to die. It hurts cause I can’t even cry.
The water stops for the day, As the clouds all move away. The battle’s far from won, But for me the battle’s done.
I die a little more, As I’m drowning in the fight. I fall so far away, As I’m drowning in sunlight.
It hurts to be left here alone. It hurts cause I haven’t a home.
The sun warms the ground. It seems I’m finally found. The sun warms my face, This is my final resting place.
The wind helps feed the flames, That crawl across the plains. The pain flees from the heat. As the ground drops from my feet.
I die a little more, I’m drowning in the sadness I fall so far away, As I’m drowning in the bliss.
It hurt to be left here to die. It hurt but now I can fly.
