Of Curiousness, Holding Her Own, and Back to the House
Taran: Curiousness
Taran nodded, at n**'s question about feeling rested, and responded quickly to both that and being almost to their destination.
"Yes, thank you. Good. The sooner we take care of things, the better."
But upon Flan's odd thought, Taran frowned. He didn't say anything as n** tried to stir her from her odd silence- at least, not right away, as n** did.
"I... don't think we'll be able to do much for her. With her telepathic abilites, she might be able to sense the.. discrepancy... that we face from here. That might be what she is focused on. Hopefully, she will come back to us soon."
Looking at the map-display, he pointed to a spot.
"That should be a good place for us to land." he recommended, trying to keep n** focused on the job. If Flan stayed statue-esqe, there might not be anything they could do for her until the job was done, anyhow. It was curious, though.

Nealiminity: Holding Her Own
Nealiminity listened as the large man walked her through the town, showing it off with an honest respect and pride. The whole place seemed tranquil enough- definately not a place to raze to the ground in search of treasure, so it held a different type of interest to the green dragon than most places did. She made a few or or two-word comments- things like, nice, cozy, well-planned, and so on, until they got to the bar.
Once they went inside, Nealiminity had to smile at the way the man hopped over the counter- obviously part of his normal routine to please the mob. Not too bad. she thought.
As he mixed her a drink that looked inticing, she paused at his name of it. Was she supposed to take offense? Some dragons would take that alone as reason to eat a man. Perhaps it was his version of a test, though. Either way, she wasn't hungry, and didn't care what she drank at the moment.
Nealiminity took the colorful drink, and put it to her lips for a taste. It was not completely weak- as many people had before assumed that she could be swayed as easily as humans and were always proved wrong, but she knew she could handle quite a bit more. So, after the sip, she put the glass down, cleared her throat, and in an almost blindingly fast movement, threw back the entire drink.
She smiled, and, looking around, put down a small pouch of gold coins. "Give 'em a round. After that, go ahead and try knocking me off my 'legendary a**'. Sounds fun."

Se'rox: Back to the House
Feeling warmth where before a sick choking pain had been, Se'rox simply listened to Zuchax III. Of course she could hold her own, but it was good that he knew she could fight beside him. As far as being able to leave, she did not see why not. If Zuchax the Second had been able to follow commands like he had to bring them here, he certainly could leave him to get home. And she was not concerned with Nealiminity. She would be fine.
"It would be good to go home." she said. The word had an interesting note to it. Home. Wherever Zuchax III was, that would be home. She knew that now. "I thought it was enlightening." she commented on his explaination of the portal.
As he made that portal by which they could so quickly return, Se'rox put a hand to her head. The movement had been akin to something that would make most peoples' eyes cross to try to follow, and it felt odd to watch. The sensation passed in an instant.
He pulled her to her feet, and she set the teacup down- having been almost unawares that she was still holding it, til that point. She faced the portal. While she had no reason not to believe that he could, indeed, see the destination on the other side, she still only saw a blank hole. But she trusted him. She realized that now. She trusted him completely. She knew she would be safe, for as long as he had anything to do with it. She stepped through the portal with no hesitation.

The Bartender: Ah! I like this one. Much more intelligence than the dragons we're used to. And no, take no offense, is based on the stench dragon's Still Born Eggs have.
Is the reason she "sees" a blank hole because it does not touch the ground?
