Chapter 2: Rebellion?

Zena leaned down before picking up her scythe. Mali was on the lose with a top secret weapon and she let him get away. Zena grinds her teeth together as she heads over to the whole in the ceiling. Zena jumps up through the whole, turns around then heads back over to Xena.

Xena sighs some as she sees Zena walking towards."Stop blaming just yourself..." Xena says softly to her, closing the see-through computers up before standing up. Xena then dust herself off before tossing Zena the cube. Zena head was hung down as she caught the cub. "Shut up, you couldn't have done anything to stop him, but I could of... This is my problem." Zena pushes a button on the cube then tosses it into the air. Allowing it to turn into a hover board again. Zena jumps on to it then lets Xena get on from behind, Xena hanging on to Zena like last time.

Zena the sped off back towards the headquarters, in a horrible mood. Once inside the headquarters Zena and Xena headed off into different directions. Zena heading to her room while Xena headed off to the library. Zena wanted to find out more information about this project.

The headquarters were huge and the inside was completely white with electrical doors. It was almost always active in base. Even when night time came, it was still active. The people in the headquarters basically had to switch shifts to always stay on their toes.

Zena finally got to Xena and her room before opening the door. Xena and Zena's room was always clean because Xena hated to be in messy places. Zena on the other hand didn't care to much for it and was the one that made the mess usually. Zena walks over to her bed on the right side of the wall near the door before laying down on it then thinking about what Mali said.

"Experiment 76-X. A bot made for war by the military...."Mali didn't move, just puffed out air.
"Why would they need something like this?" Zena stayed in her fighting position. Making sure he didn't make any sudden movements.
"To fight for them when you aren't around of course."Mali blows out another puff of smoke.
"Don't give me that bull, why would the military want us out the way?"Zena asked, moving clover to him.
"Because you have free will. This robot does not. Or at least that is what the military think."

"What the hell did he mean by that?"Zena slams her arm into the wall with anger, not really understanding it. Meanwhile, Xena is in the library, reading up about the military plans and projects." 74-X...failure....75-X.....failure....76-X...success?..." Xena turned the page before she started reading about it. "76-X was a success. By using the pieces of the past failures we were able to create a perfect human robot. A cyborg if you may call it. Its cold name is 76-X, but is real name Saibo-gu or Sai for short. Saibo-gu is Japanese for Cyborg, a great name for this experiment." Xena turns the page, but when she does, she notices the page is blank. "That is odd...."She says softly before closing the book. Xena then heads back to Zena and her room.

Zena heard the door open then pretended to be sleep. She did this by turning her back to the door then curling up. Xena notice Zena was sleep then walked over to Zena. Xena puts cover over her before walking to her own bed to go to sleep.

The next day, early in the morning at the M.A.G.E headquarters. Xena was in the control room, typing up information and gaining information about this 'power' criminals have gained. She found quiet a bit of information and was happy she did. A few minutes later, Zena walks into the control room with a towel around her head and a smile on her face. She seemed to be in a better mood than last night, maybe it was because of the shower Zena took?

"Ahhhh. That felt great, never knew bad moods made such little things feel so good." Zena smiles some before walking over to Xena. Xena sighs some then turns towards her. "Your so confusing at times...."Xena says before holding up a piece of paper with a white jewel on it. Zena leans down then takes a closer look at it. "It is a diamond right? Why are you showing me this?"

Xena pokes Zena's forehead before pointing at the jewel again. "Jinzouhouseki...Jin for short. It is a ancient jewel that grants the user powers. It has also been said that there was more than one type of these. Yet none of the look a like. You and I both know that most of the criminals had the same Jin jewel. Why is that?"

Zena shrugs some before taking the piece of paper. 'Maybe someone is making more of them." Xena turns back around before she starts finishing up her report on the jewel. Once she finishes, the alarm goes off.

"Wh-What is going on?" Zena ask, looking as the red lights flash around and around. Turning the ever so white room into a red room every now and then.

Xena started typing, pulling up pictures of what caused the alarm to go off. They were pictures of the oil factory in the desert area called Talle Desert. Their oil factory was made of sand and was in a tomb. It had pipes running through it, but you couldn't tell since it looked like a pyramid. "We have another break-in, this time in Talle Desert. This time the M.A.G.E oil factory......Odd."

"What is it, Xena?" Zena ask Xena, watching the monitors light up like Christmas lights or fireworks in the sky.
"There is more than one energy signatures and it is rising. One hundred....one fifty, two-hundreds....it is still rising...."
"Th-that is impossible! No one anyone can have that many people helping them break into our oil factory! Lets go Xena!" Zena rushes out the door, heading to the top of the headquarters. Xena sighs before closing the control room down. Xena stands up then follows Zena. They were heading south, to the desert area.

After preparing for the trip, then heading off and flying for hours on Zena's hover board, they finally reach the Talle Desert. The sun was pounding on Xena and Zena as if it was only focused on them. The Talle desert was huge and would take days if they had to walk. But they continued to fly, nearing in on the oil factory. Just barely able to see it.

"Xena...are we even close to the factory...."Zena hated the heat and wanted to hurry up and get out of it.
Xena shakes her head before pointing at the pyramid. "Look....it isn't even close to us. We still have a few more hours."
Zena sighs some before nodding."Fine..."

As they continued to fly, Xena noticed three robots in front of them. The robots were yellow and each had a rocket launcher. Each one pointing it straight at Xena and Zena. "Zena, below us..." Xena points at the bots.

Zena looks down before soon enough, noticing the robots. "Whoa, seems like they mean business." Zena slowed down her flying speed as she watched them.

"You idiot, keep flying. Can't you tell they are aiming those weapons at-" Xena was cut off as the rockets fired at Xena and Zena. Zena flies straight forward with a burst of speed to let the missiles miss. "Ha! Ha!" Zena says as she keeps flying. The missiles that miss made a U-turn, heading for Zena and Xena again.

"Missiles at six o' clock. You better do something about them...." Xena says, hanging on tight to Zena. Zena nods then makes a hard stop before flipping backwards over the missiles. Zena draws a light blue pentacle then places her hand on it. A ice shot is sent out before hitting one of the missiles. Freezing the fire on the end of it and letting it fall to the ground. The other two missiles makes another U-turn, following Zena and Xena again, it seems like the missiles were going a lot faster now.

Zena notices this then starts flying backwards. The missiles were faster than her hover board. "Crap..." Zena makes a hard stop before making yet another flip over the missiles. Casting ice on the missile to her right. Just like the last missile, it froze the fire before letting it fall to the ground. The final missile made a U-Turn at the last minute, heading towards Xena and Zena one more time.

"Two down, one more to go!" Zena smirked then sped off towards the pyramid. The missile as gaining speed a lot faster than before. Speeding as if it was a bullet. Zena tries to lose it but stopping, then flying straight up, but the missile does the same thing without losing speed. Zena continued to fly upwards, but as she did, Xena grip on Zena was getting lose. Zena continued to fly upwards, not even noticing this. Though, once Zena got to a certain flying point Xena suddenly falls off the board, falling towards the ground. "Ze-Zena...!" Xena yells as she falls, falling right passed the missile.

Zena heard Xena scream then looked behind her and saw her falling. Zena's eyes went wide then she makes a U-Turn and flies downwards towards her. Since falling was faster than climbing, she easily passed the missile. "Xena! Grab my hand!" Zena held her hand out as they both headed towards the ground. Xena reaches up and tries to grab her, but she was still to far. Meanwhile, the missile was heading back for Zena once again, falling at a much faster speed than she was.

Zena and Xena was getting closer and closer to the ground. Almost at a point of impact. "I....got....you...!" Zena says as she falls off her board to grab Xena's hand. Zena pulls Xena close to her as they fell towards the ground. About to hit it and hard, also with a missile heading close behind them. Before they hit they were about to hit the ground, Xena started to draw a blue pentacle. Just as she finishes-

Boom!

A huge explosion goes off. It seems like they were hit. Was this the end of Xena and Zena?
