Disgusting. Every time I looked I flinched. I was ugly. A nightmare. My eyes bloodred and lusty looking. My body covered in mud, blood, and this black sticky stuff that smelled like the forest. The blood of a hybrid. From my back Ebony wings were hanging. The feathers wet with hell's friend. More blood. God, it was everywhere. I looked again and winced. I was an animal. Left to die in her old life and yet still alive. Did I really need to die to set everything right? I asked myself. I didn't want to die. Not yet. I wasn't ready. Nor was I bad. I was just sixteen. I hadnt even had my first kiss yet.
He'd abandoned me, I thought and it didn't surprise me. I geussed I would die now. After all everyone dies and even if I wasn't ready it wasn't like i'd be willing to kill someone else in my place. I was ugly now anyway. No one wanted a monster.
