Watch this!!!
A friend posted this in their blog and mentioned it to me... so I watched it out of pure curiosity and it really kicked my brain into gear. mind that the bible never says anything about 'purgatory,' what is shown in this movie. In fact, it actually defies it in a way.
The other thief rebuked him. "Don't you even know what it is to fear God?" he said. "All three of us are dying here. We had it coming, but this fellow's no criminal." He turned toward Jesus. "When you get your kingdom," he said, "don't forget me."
"You'll be in Paradise with me today," Jesus said.
I forget where exactly in the bible it says this, and it's in modernized wording, yet it clearly states that anyone who trusts in God will be with Christ in paradise immediately upon leaving our world. So if you put your faith in God and commit your life to Jesus, what is there to worry about? Some may say 'I have sinned too greatly to be accepted into God's kingdom.'
Well here's the thing. God's already forgiven you. No matter what you do, if you realize that it wasn't Christ-like and admit that you've done wrong, there's nothing you can do that would make our Lord love you any less.
