Answering the Door

Nerissa's sensors picked someone entering from Sector 255 Beta 4. Bringing up a visual, she saw it was Kaku. A quick scan and an instantaneous check of her massive database revealed that the Kaku approaching the house met information kept under the Kaku File that Dragon had stored in her. She sent her android self to answer the door.

"Kaku," Nerissa said as she opened the door with a smile. "How are--"

FWOOMP!

A black and white blur shot by Nissa and attached itself to Kaku's wooden staff. Growling happily, Toshi gnawed on the bamboo.

"I'm going to guess that was for her?" Nissa asked, arching an eyebrow. Stepping aside, Nissa added, "Please, come in."

Draconic Mission

"Xangord," Dragon said. "You know Shal as much as I do. Go to Rose's house. Talk her out of it. Use force if necessary. Better take Nogard with you for back up."

"Do I have to?" Nogard whined. Though, at one glare from Dragon, Nogard sighed theatrically. "Oh fine. Let's go Xangord."

Grabbing Nogard's upper arm, Xangord pulled her through a portal.

"WOW!" Skully exclaimed at seeing Xangord's exit. "She has GOT to teach me that!"

"Shut up," Dragon said. To Sabre, she said, "You don't usually show up unless it's important. What is it?"

"There's been a slight error in regards to your family," Sabre said nervously. "One of my subordinates--"

"Death has employees now?" Dragon asked. "Have any of them been decapitated by a toilet seat from space?" [+1]

"No," Sabre replied. "Anyway...um...your mother and betrothed were not to be dead for so long."

Dragon looked at the dragon god of death for several minutes. "...And?"

"Their case file was...lost," Sabre said, taking a small step back.

"...And?" [+2]

"I...just now found it..."

Dragon looked at Sabre. Though there was no noticeable change in her face or posture--anything within a two hundred mile radius could feel her anger building.

Calmly, Dragon walked over to Skully's throne and replaced his skull on his spine--backwards. Stalking over to Sabre--who was almost visibly cringing now--Dragon snatched the bit of spine between his skull and the bones that formed his shoulders. Drawing the moisture out of the air to create a puddle on the ground, Dragon leapt into it. [+3]

Rose's House

Looking up as a portal opened within Rose's house, Lord Avondale shot to his feet. Standing in front of the prone Wynn and the concentrating Rose, Lord Avondale lightly twisted the handle of his cane. [+4] He knew that portal indicated the approach of a Nobody--and with Xangord and Xink having been at Rose's house not too long ago, Lord Avondale was concerned it may have been one after the two.

"Put that away you old lizard," Nogard said as she and Xangord stepped through the portal.

Relaxing, Lord Avondale said, "Where have you two been?"

"We were turned human," Nogard said with a bored sigh, "then we were kidnapped to Skully's place, then Dragon was dipped in spit and I was dipped in blood--"

"Bodily fluids of Rhonabwy, god of water, and Thermail, god of fire," Xangord said to Rose.

"--and this restored our powers," Nogard finished. "Then Skully tells us he's altered Shal some how so Miss Angry Mommy has sent us to investigate."

Wynn

Looking up at the stranger, Wynn asked, "Wh-who are you?"

Kneeling in front of her, the stranger said, "I'm your brother, Wolf."

"B-brother?" Wynn asked, wiping her eyes.

"That's right," Wolf said, stretching a hand to Wynn. "Me and everyone else miss you. Why don't you come home?"

"I can't," Wynn said, taking Wolf's hand. "There's a monster blocking the way out."

"We'll see about that," Wolf said, picking Wynn up and settling her on his back. "Which way is the way out?"

"Over there where the smoke is," Wynn said, pointing to the north.

Wait A Tic...

As Taran and Flan headed for the exit, n** grabbed them and pulled them back. "Wait. Something's not right."

<What is it? > Flan asked.

"I smell blood," n** said. "Some human, some...dragon."

<Anything living? > Flan asked.

"Flan you stay here," n** said, purposefully ignoring Flan's question. "Taran, stay behind me."

Placing herself in front of Taran and Flan, n** opened the hatch. Momentarily blinded by the bright light of the setting sun, n** did not see the harpoon that came shooting through the opening until it had pierced her stomach and shot out of her back.

"Well that's inconvenient," n** said a second or two before she was hauled out of the ship into a mob of n00bs.
