This is another short part from my story. It doesn't continue from where I left off with Austin. Just read, and I'm sure you'll like it!

The bell rang for 6th period, and I sprinted out of English class. I was glad it was finally lunch time, because my stomach wouldn't stop growling. Erin was right behind me, as we both sprinted to our table in the courtyard.
"Ha, beat you again! You need to run faster, man!" I laughed as I sat under the shade of the oak next to the table.
Erin sat on the bench of the table, weezing like an old man. "You've just got long legs..." he choked.
I looked around, trying to spot Micheal or Madeline. I was still pretty amazed that Micheal passed Erin's approval. Soon, I could see his bright blonde head running in our direction.
"Hey Austin, Erin!" he said, sitting across from Erin. He looked really eager. I guess it was because he was finally sitting with us. Erin called us a private party, with the acception of Micheal and Madeline.
"Hey, Mike." I said, adding the nickname on purpose. I didn't really like Micheal that much, but it didn't really matter to me that he was in our private party now.
I heard Madeline's bright voice coming up behind me, and I turned to see her light brown hair shining in the Sun's light. She was talking to her friend Stacie, who noticed my eyes on them.
"Gotta go, Maddie. See you at 8th period." she said quietly, walking away before Madeline could answer.
She just watched her friend leave, then looked at me, grinning.
"Austin!" she giggled, sitting down next to me at the trunk of the oak.
"Hey, Maddie." I said, still watching Stacie retreat to her other friends. I hated when people did that to her. Even her own friends were scared of me!
"Yo, Maddie!" Micheal said excitedly.
"Oh... hi, Micheal." she said, raising an eyebrow at Erin, who shrugged.
Madeline took her lunch out, giving Erin a Twinkie and me her Snickers. She always brought sweets for us, and that would usually be my lunch. Erin stole a few things from other kids, too. Micheal took out a ham sandwich, watching and learning from Erin's example.
When I was almost done with my Snickers, I heard whispers from behind us. I looked around to see Ria and her clones huddled close to eachother, whispering about us. I rolled my eyes.
"Maddie?" I asked when I heard her sniff. Her head was down, and I could see wet stains on her white shirt.
I could hear Ria's group whispers become murmurs, and I could make them out.
"She thinks she's so bad, with Austin and Erin. She's so... ugh, just a hoe..." Ria's friend Tanya was saying.
"Yeah, it makes me want to throw up." said Jane, Ria's other friend.
"You know, Austin is kinda cute... maybe I should date him?" Ria asked.
"Yeah, everyone likes you! Once he's with you, he'll totally forget about Madeline." said Tanya.
I was about to get up and scare them, when Madeline suddenly got up.
"Maddie!" I said, watching her walk up to Ria, Tanya and Jane.
Then I saw something that made everyone gasp, even Micheal and Erin. There was a sharp slapping sound, and Ria was on the ground, crying.
"Ria, you b***h!" Madeline screamed. I got up and grabbed her around the waist before she could launch herself ontop of Ria.
"Maddie, calm down!" I yelled, as she tried to free herself.
"I'm no longer taking any of her crap! I'm sick of it!" she screamed.
I hugged her closer to me and forced her to leave Ria. We struggled away from the scene, and were alone once we turned the corner.
"Maddie," I said, pinning her to the wall.
"Let me go!" she sobbed, her head fell against my chest.
"Maddie, I'm proud of you." I whispered, pulling her face up and kissing her forehead, "You fought back. Good girl."
