I am writing a story, here is the first chapter (unedited)

Prologue

In the beginning..

>>>Michelle layed in the white room with the flouresent lights bright in her eyes. She asked, "May I see her.. just once." As Michelle asked you could hear a cry, the crying of a new born infant. Michelle tried to sit up on the on the flat bed but her strength was to little. The doctor came to Michelle holding a white towel, but thats not what Michelle was interested in, Michelle was interested in what was wrapped in the towel. A small hiccup came from the towel as the doctor lowered his arms and showed Michelle the infant.
>>>Michelle took a deep look and tears came from her eyes, as she drew a breath she said, "Salina, her name will be Salina." As she said the name her eyes closed and her heart stopped. That day Salina was brought into the world know as Earth, Parentless, she was ammitted into an orphanage.

>>>Miriam, the orphanage owner and caretaker yelled, "Salina, wake up! Its time for you to go to school!"

>>>"I'm up! I'm up! Jeeze Mir, your always so worried!" Salina yelled back as she slipped on her plaid skirt and threw her hair into a pony tail. Ahh the first day of high school, the day most children look foward too, yet fear at the same time. To Salina it was a regular thing, being in an orphanage she is always switching schools when someone adopted her, her issue is, she was a little different, anyone who adopted her, took her back within 2-3 weeks. Salina hummed as she skipped to her new school, "Slour Acadamy High", It was just built so everyone in the school was new.
>>>Wait, you still do not know why she is different do you? Here is a little hint, when Salina is happy she purrs, when sad she mews, and angry, she hisses. Understand? She is a child with the features of the common house cat. She has little cat ears and a tail to go with it, some say if you look close enough she has wiskers, but she really didn't. With her little flaw in life, comes speed, she can run with such diligence, and speed that she was scouted out by several schools to join track. Oddly, she always said no. Many people feared her, as noone had ever seen one like her before, but some grew to love her and treat her as a sister, visiting her often at her orphanage. As to her fathers wearabouts, noone knows. All the orphanage knows, is that Salina's father had the same features as Salina, but instead of it fitting him as cute, they made him look manly. Salina vowed she would find her father one day, and smack him for leaving her to live as she does.
>>>Back to the story then? Salina arrived at SAH (Slour Acadamy High) and wasn't suprised by the instant reaction when she stepped foot into the quad. Half the student left the quad mumbling about how they suddenly needed to figure out where there classes were and the other half stared and started wispering about her tail and ears. "So, which one of you guys is going to help me find my class?" Salina said looking at a specific group of girls that was gossiping about her. Salina smiled "By the way ladies, I can hear everything your saying all the way over here." The girls stopped talking at once and their faces turned a white pail. "Y-you can?" Said the oldest, who appeared to still be in Junior High, but her uniform said she was in the junior class.

>>>"Yes, I can, and my tail and ears are not fake, thank you very much." Salina said and walked over to the girls, "So then, where can I find classroom F11?" The girls pointed their fingers in the general direction, but Salina grabbed their fingers lightly like she was holding their hands and asked them to show her personally. The girls a little nervous took her to the classroom, and tried to leave. Salina threw in "So, I will see you at lunch then?" and smiled once more before entering the classroom.
>>>The reaction was as expected, the whole class stood from there seats and exclaimed "She's in our class?" at the same time. Many people put a book on a dekstop meaning it was reserved leaving no seats for Salina. But one girl said softly "You can sit here." and pointed to the desk next to her. The girl looked like a freshmen, which she was. She had long brown hair that went to her butt and beautiful green eyes. Her smile was that of a models, yet cheery. "Hello, said the girl, my name is Salem."
>>>Salina sat down in the desk and stopped staring at her, "Hello my name is Salina." Salem cut in and said "I know your name, and I know your kind, no need to explain." Salina a bit confused mumbled "My kind..?" But then the teacher broke in, Students the bell will chime any moment so pull out your paper and pencils, we will have a first day assessment test. Salina did as told, as did the whole class and instead of using it for the assessment she wrote on the paper, "What do you mean my kind?" and slid it onto Salem's desk. Mr. Clint looked around and notices Salina didn't have a peice of paper on her desk. "Woman with the ears, where is your paper?" Salina frowned, as she didn't like how he addressed her, "I didn't bring paper, its only the first day!" She lied.
>>>The teacher brought her a peice of paper and said for her to copy the questions on the board and start right away. The first question asked her name, and the second asked what ethnicity she was. She thought hard as to what she should put for this question but decided to leave it blank. Salem slid the paper back onto Salina's desk and Salina read it with quite some interest. It read,

>>>Salina, you are a neko, also knows as a person who has the appearances of the common Feline. Felis domesticus, You can run fast, hear better then the human, Homo sapiens. You can smell things nobody else does, and your weekness is fish, you will do almost anything for them. After that she saw there was a little sketch of a Tuna fish. Salina started daydreaming of munching on the fish, but remembered she needed to finish reading.
>>>I myself am not a homo sapien, instead, I am a witch of a sort, I can cast magic, though only white magic. I am forbidden to use black magic, or I will be banished from earth along with my entire family, who are all descendants of an ancient witch, whos name is still to this day, unknown. Noone ever bothered to write it down, and as the generations were born and died her name faded from our knowledge. But this isn't about me, its about you.
>>>You were brought into the earth because either your mother or father were of the same species as you. Your kind usually is not alloud into normal human society, so seeing you here puzzles me, but you are here, and I take it as a sign. If you could, can you come by my place tonight? My address is, 5665 Sternville road, apartment # 223, See you there Salina.

>>>Salina looked over to Salem, but Salem was deep in thought as she was finishing her assessment. Thats when it hit her, "Oh yea my assessment!" Salina shouted. The entire class looked at her like she was crazy and salina sunk into her chair, face as red as a freshly picked, ripe, tomato. Salina quicky jotted answers to the questions on the board and turned in the sheet of paper. With the sheet of paper she axidently gave the note from Salem.
