What would Jesus do? What about you? |

If you got the message that I just got.... what would you do?
Imagine you met a person online. Some other people met them, too. You introduce your IRL friend, and soon there's a little community- a family. You and your one IRL friend, then a friend from your country, a friend from a country nearby, and a whole slew of friends from another country far away. This last group of people- they know eachother IRL. But you and your friend haven't met any of them outside of the internet, and yet somehow.... you all create a bond. Advice, kind words, support and friendship is give, but not without drama. Like any community, any family, there are fights. And problems from the outside world leak in- problems from your real lives.... serious problems.
Imagine that you become really close friends with one man. There's absolutly no romance involved- he's married, and too old, and stuff like that. No 'special feelings', except for the ones like friendship. He's almost like a less strict, more open version of your father, but he's a best friend at the same time- his wife's cool, too, and his kids are nice.
Imagine something really bad happens to him. His line of work is dangerous- and the turmoil from it spills into his personal life. You follow as his story, maybe the final chapters, unfold. Then, a new drama- one that might kill him.
Imagine him assuring you not to worry. He believes that he is right, and he knows he has the power. You pray to God things will go right, and you trust him. You know, without ever really meeting him, that he is strong.
Imagine, then, after having a good holiday with family, you get online one night to one of the many internet places you speak to him, to find a letter.
If I die on the 6th, i'll send you a message a day before. You must do what it says: Please.
What do you do? Do you reply? What do you say? Yes, of course. Whatever it is. What if you can't? I'll try, I promise. How loyal is that? No..... not until I know what it is. But you trust him.
What do you do?
What do I do?
