Midgard part 2
Xaviar, full of rage, returned to his home in Midgard. He opened the door to his darkened home and let the sunlight enter. Xaviar was still furious and when he opened the door, he slammed it against the wall so hard the door hinges almost came off. He walked across the room and sat on the couch. He leaned back and slowly began to fall asleep. His dream: Lightning flashed and thunder shook the skies as an earthshaking crash occured on the beach near Midgard. There was a terrifying growl that echoed throughout the land. Xaviar stood firm in the sand, sword in hand, staring at this horrible fiend as his fear almost took over him.
A tall boy walked into Xaviar's home as he was sleeping. He slowly approached Xaviar with an evil grin. He buffed himself up and yelled, "HEY XAVIAR!" Xaviar yelped and fell off the couch hitting the ground hard. The tall boy began to laugh. "Sorry Xaiver," he said still laughing. Xaviar groaned and got up off the floor sighing. "Hey, whats wrong?" Xaviar eyed his friend. His shaggy gray hair was a mess and he looked extreamly tired, but he always looked like that. He was usually very hyper and mischievious. "Nothing," Xaviar replied. "You sure? You look a little ticked." Xaviar sat back on the couch. "It's my mother." The tall boy sat next to Xaviar and sighed, "Ah mothers. What you gonna do? You want to go on a big quest and you always get shot down."
"Segnfiend, my mother won't let me avenge Raven..."
Segnfiend sat in silence. He knew too well what it was like to lose someone. Xaviar and Segnfiend have been through a lot. Betrayals, lost loved ones, and much more.
"Hey Xaviar?"
"Huh?"
"...Why don't you try to bring him back?"
Xaviar stared at him. "How?"
Xaviar was determined to do anything to bring his brother back.
"By entering the Relm of Hel, the goddess of the underworld."
"But Senfiend, how in the world are we going to get there?"
Segnfiend put his head down, thinking hard.
"I got it! We fight the Nidhogg and use it as an offering to Hel, to allow us to enter the underworld."
"A Nidhogg!? Are you insane!?"
"Do you want to save your brother or not!?"
"Of course I do! But it's suicide!"
"We have to at least try!"
Xaviar and Segnfiend stared at each other for awhile. Xaviar sighed, "Fine. We'll fight the Nidhogg."
"Good, now all we need to do is fine one."
"You mean you have no idea where to find it!?"
"Well I got somewhat of an idea."
Xaviar and Segnfiend discussed the whereabouts of the Nidhogg when all of a sudeen they heard a ferocious Roar! coming from town. Xaviar and Segnfiend ran outside the house to a cliff over-looking the town.
"Looks like it found us," Segnfiend shouted.
The Nidhogg was attacking the town and eating dead burnt corspes that it burned with it's deadly fire breathe. Xaviar unsheathed his sword and ran to the side of the cliff jumping down rock to rock. "Hey wait up!" Segnfiend followed right behind Xaviar jumping down untill they reached the bottom.
"Segnfiend! Get it's attention!"
Segnfiend held his wrist and shouted, "Ullr!" Instantly a bow formed in his hand and a quiver or arrows appeared on his back all in a flash of white light. He pulled back an arrow and unleashed it aiming at the Nidhogg. There was a sickening Krshhh! The Nidhogg roared in pain, but quickly came out of it's daze. He drew his attention to Segnfiend. The Nidhogg roared and skydived at him. Xaviar jumped in the way and thrusted his sword right in the Nidhogg's neck! Xaviar pushed his sword deeper in and began to run with his sword cutting the neck and making the wound bigger. Xaviar jumped and slashed outward, blood from the Nidhogg gushed out like a geiser. The Nidhogg groaned in pain and collasped to the ground. Xaviar, breathing hard said, "Is it dead?"
Segnfiend eyed the Nidhogg.
"No."
Xaviar was still breathing hard. The Nidhogg's scales were tough so it took a lot of strength to make the cut on the Nidhogg that long.
"I'll take care of it," Segnfiend said.
He pulled back an arrow in his snow colored bow, aiming for the Nidhogg's eye. An aura orbited the arrow and Segnfiend released it. The arrow made a bulls-eye on the pupil and the Nidhogg let out a dying groan.
"Now it's dead," Segnfiend said with a victorious smile.
