this life is twisted with lies and deceit
so hard to find ground beneath your feet
love and hate, i wonder whats the diffrence
a fated twist shows destiny is not whats written

paths untreaded and crossroads at every stop
pushing onward to see more clearly what we are not
making choices and making ourselves what we choose
it's a twist of fate for us to have to feel we lose

sights unseen, wonders only to be seen in dreams
growing apart from each other to live more serene
is there truth in the lies, do we dare to believe
are we lost in our minds, just slaves to our needs

does it even matter, when sacrifices must be made
a twisted fate becomes untangled and its no mistake
walking away from truth, to see whats to be found
in the darkness that is life, to fate we are bound

however, fate is ours and we make it what we will
unstable like the sea, or calm as a pond frozen still
truth is we are only human, all we are is what we do
and deep down inside, every mind believes its true
