Last night we went to a Chinese new year party. It was my grandma, my mom and me. It was a sophisticated party so we had to dress up. I wore a black dress with a white flowery coat. My hair was down and I had dress shoes. The tables were nicely decorated. Had Chinese food boxes that had red string confetti with candy and fortune cookies. And every seat had a raffle ticket on the table. Wine glasses for water and tea. There was sugar, napkins and silverware. And a small candle in the middle of the table for a relaxing mood. There was my grandma's friend Jose and his sister that sat with us, and a couple that sat across from us that was about in their mid 30s. The husband was a teacher and I was just excited to hear that. I wanted to know so much of what he did and how his career was, because I have been wanting to become a teacher myself, an art teacher rather. He was Asian and his wife looked Mexican. They had no children. But they were so nice.

After a while, when the dim music stopped, the boss that worked at Macy's informed everyone that the buffet was open and it was okay to get some food. So we all went to get some food except Jose's sister.. I think she was too shy to get it. We then got in line and got a plate. There was a vegetable platter with a ranch bowl in the middle. I got some celery sticks with ranch. We walked forward and there was finger sandwiches, mini egg rolls, cheesy jalapenos, Teriyaki chicken on a stick, and meat balls. I got some of everything. The celery and meat balls were really good. After we were all done eating, I asked Jose's sister if she wanted me to go with her to get some food; and she did. I got seconds on my food because I was still a little hungry. So we ate it all and drank some tea. We listened to the employees that worked at Macy's give away awards to the workers who they chose. As they did that, they were giving away prizes for the raffle tickets. Cookies, candy, Movie tickets, Dvd player and a digital camera. I was the last person who got something. I won almond cookies and lucky candy. I had a feeling I was going to win something. I was happy.

After they were done with that there was a dance contest to do the hustle and someone from each table went to do it. The boss showed them what to do and they would play the music for them to do the hustle on their own. And a girl won I think her name was Laura and she got a little trophy and some candy. After that they put some lights on and everyone was able to dance. I danced with my mom and grandma, and some other people that were dancing. I just wanted to dance because I love dancing. I sat down on a few songs to rest. There was a cake made of pink cupcakes. My grandma got my mom and me a cupcake. They were really good. Especially the frosting. They were vanilla. I rested and took my shoes off for a while and talked a little, then put my shoes back on and went to dance again. I was a bit sad because Charles wasn't there to dance with me. But I still had fun regardless.

We left the party around 10:45pm and visited Joe joe, my uncle, because he works at the four star hotel and we went by to say hi. We left and on the way home we went to Jack in the box to get a burger and I got mozzarella sticks. The guy at the window went to my school and he gave us 5 dollars when he wasn't supposed to gives us any change, my grandma gave back the 5 and we went home, We got home I think like at 12am. I stood up and watch Midori days 11-13 on youtube.. I loved that anime, it was so cute and full of love. I was sleepy and after finishing the series I went to bed which was at 3am, Pocky (my dog) went to bed with me like he does every night. I fell asleep and woke up at 8 in the morning, I was still really tired, I just listened to my ipod and fell asleep again. I woke up about an hour later, still sleepy, I turned off my ipod and went to sleep one last time, having a good sleep and woke up at 11:34am. And that is all that really happened yesterday/today. It was nice going to a party and getting out of the house. I really enjoyed myself.
