My Hero,
My hero is not like what people usually see as a hero. My hero is not a made up character but a real person. My Hero is not a movie star or singer. My hero is an ordinary person, someone that stands out and yet is still just one person among many people in the world. My hero stands up for what she thinks is right and keeps her head up in difficult situations.
My hero had a child at 17 and had to leave school. My hero had a pair of twins and got her GED. My hero raised three kids while going to college and working a job to support them. And threw all that she still had time. She still had time to love her children and play with them. She still had time to show them the right from wrong. The good from the bad. She showed them how to be a good person. She showed them how to be kind, polite and courteous. She showed them how to share and love. She showed them that when they fell they could get back up and do it over. She showed them that if you just keep trying you will eventually succeed. And she showed them to always give their best no matter how difficult it semmed or was. She gave it her all when showing them the way in life while still living hers.
My hero is, and always will be, my mother.
