Beautiful Song
This place so much
Like a cage to her
Though freedom is just
Outside the door
She's too afraid to leave
She's afraid of what she'll find out there
She doesn't want to be alone
For rest of her life
But who could love a girl
Who's afraid of everything
Who can stand being all alone
With someone who looks around every corner
When she knows there's no one there
Suddenly a voice outside
Calls her to the window
Below her cage seeming so far away
Stands a man on a fountain
Singing his way through life
His voice so beautiful
It calls her to the door
As she steps out so transfixed
By the voice in her ears
Everyone stares
Whispers ripple through the crowd
But no one moves
For the man's song speaks to their hearts
She goes to him watching in awe
He finishes his song
And steps down
She immediately goes
To his side
Feeling as though she belongs
But no
He turns away
Shouting get back woman
I'll have none of you
She flees the scene
Tears threatening her eyes
In her cage once again
She vows never to leave
Broken hearted and all alone
That night takes her life
And dies all alone
Later that night
The man with the song awakes
To find his voice taken away
He tries to scream but the silence overwhelms him
He cries all alone
Taking his life
As she flies through the stars
Singing her beautiful song
