So, yeah. My life has been hectic as s**t. Let's see what I have to deal with this week, as well as many others to come?
-My German II teacher is a complete idiot, plain and simple and I cannot say that any nicer. He has no idea what he's doing. One day we'll be conjugating pronouns-the next he's reviewing on how to tell time, something we should've done at the beginning of semester 1. Now he wants us to do a presentation on something using two of the new prepositions to show mastery. Has he not been with us mentally for the past, what, six months? We have no ******** clue what we're doing! That's why pretty much everyone doesn't do well on quizzes and homework! D< -I haven't learned a thing in my Modern Lit class, and yet I was required to take an English course. Why, I have no idea. It's ridiculous, and a waste of time. All we've done is write pointless essays, and do projects/debates. I'm sorry, but after you get through the first three years, where they're still teaching you what adjectives and adverbs are, and how to use citations in MLA format, there is no reason whatsoever to keep going just because the board of education demands it. Now, I have to do a stupid presentation on Friday about a "Utopia High School", which includes a physical 3-D model that I busted my a** over during my four-day weekend, as well as a powerpoint, and a brochure. Do you know how hard it is to work on a brochure and powerpoint when your school has all the latest and greatest Microsoft hardware, when you don't even have 1998? D: -Also for this class, as well as many others, we're being forced to do ISearch papers. We find a topic, research the hell out of it, interview people who are "professionals" in that field, and state what we've learned. It's a complete nuisance, really. When am I ever going to need to know how to correctly interview someone? Never, that's for sure! If I remember correctly, it's worth about 40% of our grades, and is due before finals week. We must also do a 20 minute speech on it as well. =__=
So yeah. All of this revolves around trying to keep up with normal classwork. I'm not going to worry about German so much because it's a class that I don't need. My parents are backing me 100% in that regard, because I only need the Modern Lit and PE classes to graduate. Hell, if I had taken the PE before first hour one year, and an extra English class (like Creative Writing, or Journalism) on the side, or during the summer, I could've been out of that school already. Ah well. Hindsight is 20-20.
Anyways, off of all of the bitching. I'm just really stressed at the moment.
I have discovered that I no longer wish to quest for the Horns of the Demon here at good ol' Gaia Online. No, I want something that'll stand out in any color of hair, no matter what I'm wearing.
I want the Mini Angel Wings!
Sometime soon I hope to open a quest thread, but I'd have to find a graphics artist to make all of the banner stuff, since I like my threads to be spiffy (though that rarely works). But nonetheless, I am beginning my quest for the 45 million gold item!
And in reality, I have discovered something that I really want to get.
The Sony UX 390N Micro PC. It's about two thousand dollars, but is really, really cute! It's like one of those phones that slides from the side: the screen slides upwards on the device, exposing the keyboard underneath. It has a webcam on the front for confrencing, and a camera on the back for taking snapshots (they're not all that great-a little blurry- but you don't buy a computer if you want a camera). The screen is also stylus-compatible as well, and the system allows for link-up to a monitor, a USB mouse (it has 3 USB slots), and even has a fingerprint reader. I haven't ever found a use for those on a computer, seeing as all the ones I've seen with a reader have them broken, but whatever.
So, that'll probably be one of the things I'll be striving to get this summer. My parents are going to call the state soon to re-up my permit, and then I'm taking my driving test to get my license, since I'm now 18. They want to go on a lot of motorcycle trips this summer, leaving me with my 6 year-old brother alone. I'm not sure how well that'll go, but I'm getting paid. I already told my mom that if she could find it, the deluxe edition of Shadow Hearts: Covenant would cover one trip. xD
Well, anyways. I'm done here. I need to get to work on shop orders, too, so... yeah. I'd stop doing it for a while, but it's kind of addicting. That, and it allows me to keep in practice with my tablet. The payment is just a nice bonus, as well as motivation to keep drawing and to keep questing.
Time to go away now! Ciao.
