Chapter One
Kai grinned from ear to ear as he saw the terror within his new victim's eyes. His victim pleaded for Kai to spare his life, but Kai just laughed in a dark manner. Kai held out his hand, his palm facing his victim, then he squeezed the air. The victim stared to gasp for air, but very little amounts entered his lungs, the wind that blew around the Sand was choking him. The victim dropped to the ground, dead after a few moments. Kai walked over to the body, and he bared his fangs, and ate his victim's flesh. It was one of the ways he fed his demon, even if it was a spirit within him, Kai believed in sacrifice. When he was done, his grin showed the blood of his poor victim, and Kai enjoyed it. But when a few ninjas ran up to the dead body, Kai teleported away, to his secret home underground. Kai washed the blood off his face, and transformed into a regular guard ninja, and he started to roam around the Sand.
Kaz roamed around the village, sensing a dead body and ran to the scene. She passed by Kai and felt a strange aura around him, but ignored it and continued to the scene. Ryo was interested in the fellow, and sent a subliminal (Mind) message to see if he could read minds.
Kai heard words in his mind, but he couldn't completely understand them. Tinyo, his wolf demon, told him to look at the girl that passed by him. Kai turned around, and watched the girl run over to the body, and he grinned. How nice, they're admiring my work , he thought darkly. His demon wanted him to watch her closely, and that he had a strange vibe from her. Ahahaha, finally, some entertainment , he thought again as he teleported next the girl, hiding his grin with the mask over his mouth.
"Another dead body, huh?" He asked the girl innocently, crouching down, looking at the body.
Ryo sent a vibe to Kaz telling her to watch out for her surroundings. She glared at Kai, then responded to him. "Yeah... I can’t believe I couldn’t sense this guy’s presence... I can already tell we're not dealing with a normal, human ninja... Trust me, I know." Kaz then smiled a bit remembering her sensei and how she would drink her blood each time she got hungry. Kaz never minded since Ryo was able to reproduce blood quickly due to the fact that he was a water demon attached deep within her.
Kai chuckled quietly at the girl's glare, and he flipped over the body as if he was examining it, but he already knew what it looked like. Kai pretended to and sighed, "These bite marks are made by a wolf, it's him again," He announced to everyone. A few of the ninjas seemed frightened, but the others were pissed off. Kai grinned behind his mask again, then he looked at the girl, "Very good insights, you're correct," He replied, in a sly, seductive tone.
Kaz grinned at him. "So, how many times has this WOLF attacked?" She then ran her hands across the bite mark and then looked at the bodies face. She clutched her hand and her forehead creased as she saw the defaced/dead man. "Ugh, disgusting."
Kai chuckled slightly, "Too many times to keep count," He replied in a rather, complimenting tone. Kai ordered the other ninjas to take the body to the medical center to see if they could find anything else, and he looked at the girl again. He bowed towards her, "I see that you’re from the Leaf... My name is... Tinyo," He paused with a grin. "It's a pleasure to meet you," He finished as he took her hand, and gently kissed it. It was one of his flirting moves, as usual.
She blinked when he touched her hand, and flinched when his lips touched it. She wasn’t used to guys acting like that around her, even if it was just to be polite. “Your quiet the gentlemen Tinyo." She bowed at him. "I am Kaz." She didn’t want to mention her last name. "How long has this Wolf brought unwanted visits?"
Kai tried to hold in his chuckle, "Three years, rumors are that the "Wolf" was banished from the Water village and he became a rouge, terrorizing this village," He replied, studying Kaz as he spoke. His demon growled within his mind, warning him to be careful around the girl, but Kai ignored him. "Since you're here, I assume that you're here to help. If you don't mind, we can work together," He said in an attracting tone.
She took his offer, but wasn’t appealed to his tone, but she smirked at how interesting he sounded. "Why not. You live in this village, and I'm here to help." Kaz grinned at this. "So, where do you want to start searching/investigating?" Kaz said seductively at him. Ryo growled within Kaz, and told her to watch this man. She took his warning not too lightly, and began to inspect Kai's outer appearance.
Kai chuckled at her tone, and motioned for her to follow him. "Well, I suppose since you don't know this case very well, that we should check the information we have on this "Wolf" first," He replied, with amusement in his tone. His demon told him not too get so cocky, that this girl wasn't like the others, but Kai tolled him to shut up, and that he knew what he was doing. Kai reached a building with two ninjas guarded it, and he used the name of a ninja he killed, one that's body was hidden, and they let him through. Kai walked over to a cabinet, and pulled out a file, hiding it to Kaz.
She took it and peered through it. She read the files. Then looked up at him. "What is this?"
Kai grinned, "Pretty much a bunch of crap that the ninjas made up. It just basically tells you the records of the deaths, how they were killed. Not much about his past, he was pretty much dead up until he was banished," He replied. Kai teleported next to her, lazily. "But I think I might have a lead," He whispered into her ear, grinning know from ear to ear.
She shivered a bit to the creepiness of him hissing that into her ear. She then looked at him curious to hear his answer on which his lead might be.
Kai laughed darkly, and grabbed her, a kunai to her neck. "Me," He stated with an evil tone. Kai teleported inside his house. It was dark, and it had an odor trapped in it, a smelled like blood all around. Kai pushed Kaz on the ground, grinning. "Make yourself comfortable," He called out, walking into another room, grabbing his katana. He came back out, and sat down on a metal table, watching her. Smoke came from his body as his true form was shown, "How do I look? Not much of a wolf, but okay, right?" He asked, laughing again.
