The ghost had a hand in my death, I was sure of it. I couldn't exactly deny what I had seen. She had come from hell, there was no way her beauty could be contributed from hell. Black wings spread across the space that she stood in. Long maroon hair that threatened to be picked up by an unseen wind barely hid the yellow irises set against black. I had gaped the first time, after realizing that indeed, her pupils were slits. She had approached me wearing a red shoulder less top, with such long sleeves I could barely see the black fingerless gloves that poorely covered her hands. All over her body were numerous black scars, most starting from her forehead and extending down to her chest where they met at a single point, and flourished to cover the rest of her body. On her left arm, a startling black skull glared at me with frightening red eyes. From it, it's own series of scars ran to cover the arm. Starting from above her eyebrows were two red scars that extended down her cheek to stop just above the jaw. Two other red scars started under her eyes, traveling down the jaw until they reached the corners of her lips. These anomalies, these different scars, gave me the impression she was bleeding. I had to step back, in order to see her fully. Blue jeans, black boots, were it not for the colorful top, she would have faded unto the dark scenery of my mansions lobby.
I would have been more so startled if that were how it was, to see yellow eyes staring at me from the darkness, with the red scars illuminated just enough to make her look like a deranged jester. I was an old man, and true, I had done some horrible deeds in the past...but had the Devil really sent this girl for me? The last breath I had forced from my lungs was long gone, and it seemed I was the spirit here. She seemed almost as unreal as the gunshot that had claimed my life. A whisper from my past.
She smiled, and the scars wrinkled her features. Suddenly I was afraid. Suddenly, I was running as fast and as hard as I could. Run, go! Faster! I must get away! I look back and she's not there. What? She's right next to me, still smiling, barely touching the ground as she kept up with my immortal speed. Her gracefulness made me halt in my steps, and she skittered to a halt two meters away. I considered screaming, but knew no one would hear me. Who was I but a spirit?
"Girl..." I whispered. Her eyes rose up to bore into mine. I flinched and started shaking. "Why are you here? Why chase me?" She shook her head and pointed to my home. I sighed as her gaze left me and followed it to where she looked. The very room where I had committed so many sacrilegious deeds. She knew. She knew. The girl knew. Had she been one of my victims? No, I would recognize her, wouldn't I? Or had those scars come after her death, and those eyes, surely, I would know those eyes.
I looked at her, to see if she was dead, like me. Yes, for I could see no breath being drawn into her lungs. I took a step towards her and again her eyes glared unto mine. How could she smile whilst her eyes spewed hatred for me? I took another step, I was so close. The smile tightened, and I could see her auspiciousness. I reached to her neck, and suddenly, a scythe was being held to my jugular. "Please.." I said quietly. "Let me feel your heart beat." She relaxed. I tentatively reached up and touched a point under her jaw. No matter how I tried, there was no pulse to be found.
I stepped back. The scythe was still in her hands as she stood sidelong to me, letting the two meters of it relax on the ground behind her. the cruel blade itself curved up, as if in threat to anything that touched it and the sun allowed the blades edge to shine. I backed away. She looked menacing with such a thing in her hands. Her wings fluttered, as if threatening to take off at any moment.
"Your sins..." I stopped trying to get away. Had she just spoken? I barely saw her lips move. Suddenly I was more so afraid then before. I turned around as a large cracking sound caught my attention.
The earth itself was opening! No, wait...a hell fissure? The girl stood next to it, smiling as a warm wind engulfed her. Her eyes returned to me as fire slowly crept out around the edges of it. No. No. "No!" I yelled. "No!" She would, she would, she would. She was my escort to hell! No! The winds caressed her as she walked towards me. I jumped backwards. It burnt me. Suddenly I was being lifted into the air. Her cold hands had found purchase in the collar of my shirt. I struggled, I kicked, I even managed a few punches. But it was like trying to destroy a stone that had a million years to grow strong.
Suddenly, I was being burnt all over, and I was falling. "Noooo!" I howled into the winds as other screams met my ears. "Nooooo! Nooo! Noooooo!" It was an echo? No, it was the souls, of all those sent to this place. And as soon as it had started, it stopped. I was standing, and the place I was in was so unbearably hot! Too hot. I screamed as the heat seared through me. The ground was burning, I was burning, the fire, the fire was everywhere!
Crying faces, and bloody bodies. My eyes widened as I recognized the agonized screams of my victims. Thier nails raked on my skin, and the fire grew to an point impossible where they hurt me. I ran from them, only to meet a wall of fire. I tore through them and went another way. More fire. My screams matched theirs as they finally caught me and tore unto me. Just when I thought I'd die from the pain, the wounds healed. I grew angry, no! Why heal me? I want to be gone from this.
The girl stood and watched as again the victims dragged their bloody nails through me. The smile was small, but her eyes were wide with maniacal pleasure. She was enjoying this, she was enjoying my deaths! Damn her! Damn her! This is hell! This is hell! And this! This is my punishment!
