So far
So I've begun on my thought process on my new story. No title yet, but I think I may have a reasonable plot. I want to try to make the main character as "unmain" as possible, meaning that I really want her to appear to be a side character at first, and then maybe the reader will eventually realize that the story was about her all along. She WILL NOT become a Mary Sue. I've already thought about it. I HATE stories like that where there's this one girl whom EVERYONE loves and EVERYONE wants to be with and who ALWAYS saves the day! Who wants to read about the golden girl all the time?? Instead, it's going to be about her and her struggle with (you guessed it!) love. See, the story takes place in... well, I'm not sure. I want to bring a certain type of religious aspect to it, but all I could think of were different types of martial arts. I really don't want to have to bring fighting into this. It'll be more of a His and Her Circumstances type of story, no fantasy involved, but a very exaggerated "normal" life. That's another thing, I've been watching that anime a lot lately. It reminds me SO MUCH of when Ryan (my boyfriend) and I first started going out two years ago. Those feelings that the characters feel were very much mine back then. Now, they still haven't changed much, but so much has happened and we feel so comfortable with each other now that the little things don't matter as much anymore, but that's for another journal entry. ANYWAY, two girls will be the main focuses. One girl will be telling the story about the main character who happens to be her guardian sent by the guiding force of her beliefs, or something like that. OK it'll have A LITTLE bit of fantasy in it. More like, her best friend happens to know everything that is going on in her head only because she's not a real person, but a person only visible to the main character, and the main character thinks she's real. AHA! She's a figment of her imagination. That's why she knows everything that is going on, but the main character actually thinks she's real. The REAL question is, is the friend REALLY sent from somewhere to help her, or was she just someone she created when she was little as a best friend. AND NO!!! She doesn't have the horrible background that everyone else has. Actually, she has a great background, but I guess didn't have much attention. That's why she craves it at such a late age. Well, she gets crossed between these two beliefs, these two ideals and she must choose between what she feels and what she has known all her life. Yeah, I know that part has been done before, but I think I can make it more interesting. We'll just have to see. I may write the first chapter soon. I just have to get ahead on my study of Mandarin Chinese! stressed
