She sat against the wall and looked up at the window above her. She noticed the sun setting. She stared into the small camera she noticed earlier in the corner. The door across from her was locked and the window was too high.
"Only 24 more hours," a deep voice said to her.
She looked up. "Til what?"
The voice laughed. "Kari, my dear. If I don't get the items I requested in time, those cops won't find you." It laughed again. "Even if they find this video feed, they won't find you. You're only hope is if they come through for you."
She looked into the camera once more, knowing he was watching. She turned her attention back to the window and watched the sunset. Soon she gathered her jacket into a ball, lay her head on it, and fell asleep.
