So what?
Maybe it is not new to you that our world is made of the remains of a burnedout sun. But where has it gone?
Our sun today grabbed(with its gravitational field) these rests and formed some nice iceballs around it. After catching enough Hydrogen it started to burn(fusion) and melted some of these balls.
Some billions of years in future the sun will have burned up its hydrogen, and there will be some more iceballs again. Before that the sun is expected to become a large red giant, just in time to collapse and becomming a white dwarf.
If mankind or what may develop on earth still lived on earth they would be in need of another energy-source.
They would have to collect as much energy as they could and use it to survive the voyage to another sun.
These travels are long and after some brother suns there will be no more effective suns.
Well
the expanding universe made it possible to create suns, planets and even life, but only intelligence would find either a way of creating a new universe or an ice grave to eternity.
