Gnats. Three dogs. Five Asians. A cool Summer breeze. Location? My front yard. I have my sister's MacBook on my lap and its only July 5. This means it has officially been a month of Summer since school let out. The problem that seems to be occurring with my friends and I is that... We all think it doesn't actually feel like Summer break. My friend Caleb described it as, "feeling like a really long weekend and soon enough we're just going to go back to school. It's not like the other years when we were so excited for Summer and it actually... felt like Summer." confused

But what does that even mean? Feels like Summer. Could it be the events? Weather? Overall attitude of everyone around you? I gotta admit, the year 2009 hasn't been a good one for me, with only a few great highlights. I was walking around with my other friend Lynne discussing this absent Summer feeling and she proposed that maybe it was the weather. One day its raining, and then its screeching hot, and before you know it, it feels like Autumn! I was hoping that after a month it would actually start to feel like Summer, and that month has arrived. Still no burst of "Holy crap, Summer is here! Let's party! xd " Maybe it's just the fact that I've grown accustomed to the boring, "Go back to school shopping, first day of school, Christmas, New Years, Spring, school's out, Summer, do it all over again" routine. I'm gonna be a freshmen this year, Gaia. And I have to admit, I'm more excited than anything. mrgreen
