So. The Thursday before New Years, the roommates (Mindy and Lauren), my brother, and I all decided to go to Knott's Berry Farm. We had a good time, didn't stay too long, because in the afternoon it got really packed once everyone realised it wasn't going to rain.

Well, before we left, I decided I wanted to go on Big Foot Rapids and get Dave soaked, because he shrieks like a little girl. It's funny, really. Anyway, Dave was into it, so we dragged Lauren and Mindy across the park and right as we're getting to the start of the line a group of a dozen or so Asian kids make a move towards the line. What did I do?

I looked at Dave.

He made a face.

And we both made a mad dash for the line.

You have to remember we were getting into the spirit of things. So were they. They had some good sprinters, but they had met their match. Suckers.

Mindy and Lauren were as embarrassed as could be, but really, what did they expect? Theme park. David. Me. Of COURSE we're going to act like 5 year olds. Theme parks can bring out the inner brat in anybody.

So, we were almost to the front of the line, after waiting for a good half hour, when I give in to the urge to talk to the group behind us. I couldn't help it. I love to talk. They were all wearing badges, nothing new really, there were so many youth groups and tour groups running around that they could have been visiting for a convention or here for an out of state vacation.

Turns out they were Tournament of Roses badges. High School band. Pearl City. I had no clue where Pearl City was. If I had taken Geography I would have flunked it. I knew where Pearl HARBOR is, but not Pearl City. So I asked. One of them was nice enough to answer, even after our little race. Another was just plain mean for the little tyke that he was. Four foot nothing, I swear.

Why are little people always so mean to me? D:

So, to make a long story short, God loves me more and rained on their parade.
