I seem to be waning,
like all I hold dear,
bright day, dark night;
the sunshine and moonlight.
I surrender to the changes,
with a half heart.
the other half is hidden
in my memories of when
everything was clear,
perfectly,
at it's climax.
the clear, warming day,
makes you see clear,
just as the night will allow you to hide
from your fears, and things you can run from,
for a short while.
the sunshine, that grants you lucidity,
makes you see where you stand in your time of living.
the soft moonlight brings you a clarity,
and brings you at ease.
that's why I hate the dawn and dusk,
where everything is a clouded, gray twilight-zone
in between the times where you see and feel clearly.
