A/N: OHMYGOD. I still can't believe I wrote that last chapter.
Whew!
Glad it's done with.
And to all my friends that are reading this, I want you to know that I love you.
And because you reviewed this, I'll put you somewhere in the story then kill you off.^^

In my group of friends, I'd always been regarded as the 'Alice' of the group. Not the Alice that was perfect, but the one from wonderland. The one that was way too curious for her own good and often got into trouble because of it. So, when I heard that moan coming from the bedroom, I just had to check it out. It was such a painful moan, like a hurt animals. I just hoped it wasn't a heartless or anything.

Scrambling to my feet, I ran to across the room with the fireplace to the small off hallway, trying not to trip on the chain that connected the two twin weapons. Strangely enough, it seemed like the chains had reduced in size by half, so it was almost impossible for me to trip on them. It was like they were reading my mind or something! Plus the feeling I got from them, they felt like they did in fact belong to me and just me. I'd never seen anything like them before in my life, and yet I knew how to use them....It's weird, but I didn't complain.

I stood at the head of the long dark hall. All the doors were open, but nothing but blackness came from them. I couldn't see anything from this point of view, but I heard rustling. From where, I do not know.

Another flash of lighting. A moan came from the room farthest down the hall to the right.

The closer I got to it, the more I recognized that tone of voice...I froze for a moment before I ran for it. No, it couldn't be It just couldn't! No! When I got to the door of the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to the figure huddled in the corner of the room. I had to bite back a gasp.

Their back was too me, but I could tell that they had their knees right under their chin, like that was the only thing holding her together. Quiet sobs came from the shaking body, so small at the moment that it was almost heart wrenching. The smell of blood was light in the air, but strong enough for me to wince at the copper smell. Did I mention that there were to Heartless literally chewing on her arms.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!" I screamed, running at them and slicing both of them with the twin blades. They jumped back and swayed for a moment before I jumped at the one on the right and sliced through it like I did the very first one. The second one jumped on my back, but it didn't phase me. I slammed it against the wall and the swung around and slashed it across the chest, three times. It disapeered.

I painted for a few moments, trying to catch my breath since I wasn't used to all this killing and stuff. The Heartless looked really cute when they weren't trying to take your heart, it almost pained me to kill them...Well, almost.

"Alex...?" The softly sick voice forced me out of my thoughts, reminding me of why I was here. I ran to the body and tripped, crawling the rest of the way to her.

"Kylie! Kylie! What happened? Where's Lyruff? Are you alright?" I said, not getting the words out fast enough. I reached over and gently laid her on her back, slowly removing her arms from around her to I could see what the worst of her wounds were. What I saw made me want to scream, but I gasped and closed my hand over my mouth before I could. There, right in the center of her chest where her heart was, was a hole. A big black hole with red, angry edges and blood...so much blood...

I hadn't realized I was slowly backing away when she groaned in pain, "Alex...! D-don't go....!" A drop of water dripped down her cheek...Tears. She was crying.

I took a deep breath and went back over to her. The way she looked at me was nothing like the face of a girl who got all the guys and never seemed to worry about anything. Her face, under the scratches and blood, there was a girl who was dying. In the end, we were only human after all, no matter how perfect you seem. I grabbed the blanket off of the bed in the corner and wrapped it over her chest, I jut couldn't look at it.

All I was wondering was how she was why was she still alive....

"Kylie...where's Lyruff? What happened?" I asked quietly.

She shook violently under the blanket."Bambi...went over...I wanted to see...what happened..." She said in a voice a little louder in a whisper, "We....looked everywhere....dark...there were so....may....horrable bugs...." She sobbed, tears rolling faster down her cheeks. "We tried! We tried!"

I held her shoulders, keeping her steady. "And where's your brother! God damn it Kylie! Is he alive, did they take his heart too?" I stare at her in the eyes. My cousin....I had to know. Did I lose them both today?

She gave a small, choked laugh before her eyes started rolling to the back of her head. That's when I realized something, her skin was darkening and her body was turning smaller. That's when I realized, with a sudden shock that she was turning into a heartless! I let go of her shoulders and staggered back. "Lyruff....disapeered...."

"Alex!" Riku ran in, a look of worry, if you could call it that, on his face."I saw the bright light! What happened......?" He looked at the girl on the floor and instantly understood the situation. Quickly he graped my arm and dragged me off the floor and out of the room. Hot and salty tear ran down my face.

"No....no...." Was all I could whisper as the silverest dragged me out of the house, saying nothing. Even though through my watery eyes I could see that he kept glancing at my twin scythes.

"Sora! Get the gummi ship! We're taking her with us!" He called to the brown haired boy who was waiting outside for them. Sora gave them a confussed and worried look before running off.

He set me down on the sidewalk so the he was kneeling in front of me. I felt dizzy and was swaying back and forth."Going where?" I asked, feeling my mind get foggy. Why did I suddenly feel so sick?

Riku paused before placing one of his hand on my shoulder, "Somewhere where the heartless aren't so great in numbers...." He looked into my eyes, but his image was foggy. "What happened in there? What was the bright light?"

I blinked a few times at him. How the hell was I supposed to know!? I looked down at my hands that were still clutching the scythes tightly. "I was gonna get beaten, there were so many of them. I needed a weapon and then....bam," I held them up. "These appeared."

Riku nodded slowly, "I should have guessed the moment I saw you with those." He took them from my hands, rather easily since I was so woozy at the moment, and looked at them closely. "Weapon of light," He held u the one in his right hand, "And a weapon of dark." He held up the other. A smirk pulled his lips up, "Never thought that you would be one of the ones to have something like these. You must have a strong heart..." He looked at me with that smile. Personally I didn't understand anything he was saying. All I wanted was sleep.

"Riku...what do you mean...?" My head rolled to the side slightly.

The sliverest chuckled, "I'll tell you when you aren't so sleepy."

I rolled my eyes the best I could, but I passed out to the sound of something maniacal approaching.
