We were on a mission, To neutralize all hostiles that were moving across a large feild, There was on catch though, The feild was covered in a thick mist. So we would have to move in and try to take them by surprise. The choppers dropped us of on a farm half a mile away from the Feild. So we started moving towards the feild. We had snipers set up around the perimeter. We were on the outskirts of the mist now, When we saw the first Tango's We fired, We were moving along fairly well no casulties yet... But then the mist fired back at us... We had to keep moving! My friends dying all around me! They were screaming! Screaming for help... But I couldnt stop now, we were to far in the mist... Then it happend, I felt a sharp pain in my chest and I crumpled to the ground. I was Shot, but some how i was still alive. So from the ground I fired my gun, An XM8 with a optical sight to be exact, I killed 3 enemy's, then I ran out of ammo... So I crawled back to were we came from, Blood drenched the ground, People dying all around me, There mouths moving but not making a sound, I crawled until I found a pistol on the body of one of my Comrades, An M9 with a full clip. So I waited, And finally the shooting stopped, Out of the mist 4 soldiers emerged. I took a deep breath and aimed down the sight, 4 soldiers joined the rest of the dead, So I crawled again... But this time towards the trealine, were I could hide and wait for my allies to find me... And there I layed, Whispering into my Comlink... Finally I got a reply, my allies had neutralized the rest of the enemy's and they were coming for me, A helicopter land 50 meters away from me. But apparently I was the only survivor of the initial attack, helicopters had finished what we had started. All my Comrades, my Friends, my Brothers... Were dead, But I had survived, Survived to fight another day... but was it worth it? Was life worth living without my freinds, My "Familly" I didnt know...


And Then I Woke Up....
