Have you ever wanted to die?
Ren, along with a dozen other children, stood outside the church. They were all wearing black cloaks, with many different designs on the fabric. Some of the patterns showed skulls, X's and swerls, others had feathers, vines and animals. Everyones cloak was different in their own way but, Ren's seemed to stand out. Her cloak had black roses inprinted in the velvet fabric and it also looked like the spiny stems were rapped around her body, imprisioning her. Black rose petals also alined the seems of her cloak, making her look like a fragile doll. Which she wasn't. Every single person had their hoods pulled over their heads. The shadow of the hoods made it hard to tell who was who. All of the people that were here were going to be sacrificed, and they all knew it. You see, these children want to die and this is the only place you can go to make that happen. Sure, they could hang themselves, jump off a building, or even shoot themselves, but insead of wasteing their blood, they'd rather give it to a creature that really needs it.
Everything was silent, no whispering, no crying. Just silence. A strong gust of cold wind, broke the silence when it flew pasted everyone, out of no where. The wind pulled off some of peoples hoods, including Ren. Her short white hair was flown back along with her hood, revealing her pale gray eyes. Her skin glowed under the moonlight and her cheeks didn't even show a hint of color, not even her lips. she didn't show her emotionless face for long though, because she reached back quickly and pulled her hood back over her face.
It was getting close to dusk when the church bells rang and the huge dark wood doors opened with a loud creek. Everyone moved at once though the door and into the huge room. Once everyone was inside, the doors closed with one more loud creek. The doors were closed by two tall figures. Ren hadn't noticed before that they were much older then everone else was. They also had black cloaks, but they were just blank, no designs, no nothing and they didn't talk at all either. Ren let her eyes travil to the ceiling. The high ceiling was decorated with hand painted vines and roses. There was also thick gold fabric drapped down and over the huge wooden pillars that held it up. The room had the faint smell of bood and the strong sent of roses. Each person walked down the aisle and sat down in the benches on one side. The otherside of the aisle had people already sitting down. They were also wearing cloaks, with stunning designs, but they were dark scarlet red and their heads were bent over, so you couldn't see their faces.
