CastlePoint Anime Convention was great! It's even more so when you have friends to hang out with because you'll enjoy it a lot more. Anyway, I meet up with friend and got there on time and first thing we notice was that the pre-registration line was long while the onsite registration was empty. I've seen like four people go there and that's it, I guess they rather get it online and pay $10 than $14. Once that was done I think we first went to the DDR room to check it out. Vikki and Racquel played against others and they had fun. I would have tried but only if I've had experience with it but I've never been around a DDR or even played one. We stayed there for a while, at least until it was time for the dealer's room to open and while Racquel stayed in there I and three others went to the dealer's room. Haha, we totally wasn't expecting a long line. Usually they just let us in, making sure we had badges but I guess we had to wait because the dealer's weren't completely ready yet. What I noticed about the dealer room was that it seemed smaller to me than last year and that I didn't have much to pick from or find. So surprising enough I didn't spent a lot of money than I thought I would. I only got a Naruto tote and a couple of buttons. Though I wished I got myself a Ramune but I got stingy with my money because I wanted to make sure I didn't spend on anything that doesn't last. After that, Racquel meet up with us and the others left since they had to get their things (Racquel felt bad for leaving their things but honesty she wasn't going to stay in the DDR room for an hour waiting and watching their stuff). She just looked around and than we left to the opening panel where they just let us know what was in store for us throughout the whole day of the convention and yeah. It was fun...saw Uncle Yo, watched some of the Awkward Zombie panel and was able to see the panel with the voice actors. Oh and I recorded Racquel's first karaoke. I have to figure out when I can get that up on facebook or something so that others and view it. Hm, I made sure to take a few pictures here and there to keep at proof and for memories. lol
All in all, it was fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again. Of course, I'll smack my friend with a fish if she doesn't learn to not stay up late the day before the convention because of that reason she practically slept away the convention. -_-' You know I'm talking about you. *angry face*
Hm, my only grips about it is that we should have left a little more sooner. Because by the time we got back home it was dark and I had to walk all by myself in the empty and not completely safe streets to my home. I was totally paranoid thinking I'll be mugged since it has been reported in the area. At least, if I can't avoid walking the streets at night than I'll make sure SOMEONE stays over my house and they'll have to walk with me there.
Remember kids, SAFTEY IN NUMBERS!
