The gulf oil spill was a huge mistake. But, as I found out a little while ago, BP had jumped the gun on a couple of tests for safety. When I mean a couple I mean about half of them. If we are in need of so much oil would should look to other power sources. Like, Nuclear Fission, Solar power, Geothermal, biomass, heck even wind power could work. If the oil companies decided to shut a country out of oil that country would have a civil war on it's hands.
If U.S.A had this happen to it, most likely, World War 3 would be upon us. We would take the oil wells and use it for our reasons. That would lead to a major conflict most likely leading to NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST. We would all be dead, nothing living, no birds, plants, no nothing. Earth would be left a barren husk of radioactive soil for hundreds of years.
