Background check: Born in the late 20's Nikolai was the member of a new world 'order.' Communism was running strong in Russia, and so was industrialization. After loosing his mother in a harsh winter, his father and brothers slaved away in factories, trying to raise the young Nikolai, despite insurmountable odds. Work was dangerous, wages low, and food scarce. Nikolai was lucky enough to survive the harsh winters, and lack of food. At age 15, he joined his brothers and father in the factories. During this time, his father was taken to the gulag, for the sole reason of 'seditious talks.' All Nikolai's father was complaining about was the lack of bread.
Two years passed, and the factories made Nikolai a fit man, the perfect thing required by the Soviet Union for the upcoming scenario. Nikolai was hardly a man when the Blitzkrieg began, sweeping through the Ukraine with blinding speed, crushing anytype of Soviet resistance as if it were nothing. In compliance to Stalin's orders, men were forcibly recruited, and sent to combat. Nikolai was quickly rushed to his first battle, just on the outskirts of Stalingrad as a part of the 971st Factory Rifles. Fighting the battle hardened Wehrmacht, Nikolai barely survived his first battle, relying on his luck to pull him through. Throughout the siege of Stalingrad, Nikolai proved himself to his commanders, earning him numerous medals, and eventually, his assignment to the 9th Guard Rifles.
The next 2 years of his military career were marked by success and honorable action. In 1945, when the war ended, Nikolai was offered a job in the MGB, the State Security Ministry. Working for the group until 1950, Nikolai finally decided he wanted a life of his own, and wished for freedom in his life. Escaping Russia through ties in North Korea, he fled to America as a refugee. Due to his position in the MGB, he was not chased, but merely disregarded. To this day, Nikolai is still in contact with a few old comrades in Moscow, and will often call in favors from them.
the way i carry myself:Nikolai is a rather silent type, preferring to keep his words to himself. However, this does not make him an uncaring person. To his friends, he essentially a big brother, always there to take care for them, either by teaching some manners or being a person to confide in. Yet, due to his past, he is very aggressive towards anybody he can't associate as a friend.
secrets:Nikolai is a die-hard communist, but he tends to hide this due to his marveling at the United States.
