Chapter 1: New Recruit

"Gentlemen," The first classman, Riago, said in a meeting, "we have a new recruit."
He motioned them to look at the young girl, with hair as silver as a comet's tail, eyes as green as a cat's, and beauty of a rose, behind him.
Most laughed at the thought of a woman being in the ranks of SOLDIER.
"Preposterous!" one yelled.
"Is this some kind of joke?!" another burst out laughing.
"Believe it or not," Riago continued, "she's a second class."
Every person in the room was quiet. A few whispered about the stupidity of Rufus Shinra for letting a girl join, while others mutter on about the unfairness of a woman succeeding them.
"This is Xefira," he continued, "you are below her, and your head should not be higher than hers."
"Sir." everyone in the room said.
"There will be no criticizing her."
"Sir."
"Continue on, gentlemen."
"Sir, yes sir."
Everyone in the room continued talking, forgetting Xefira was there.
"Don't worry about them," someone from behind her said.
She turned around to face him.
There, stood the scrawny figure of Tsume Tomashi.
Tsume was a fellow second classman. His hair was black as sute. His eyes made him look like a lion of great power. They were a deep blue, like most of the members of SOLDIER.
"They're all a bunch of idiots," he continued. "my name's Tsume, by the way."
"Xefira," she answered.
Not knowing they would become the closest friends in SOLDIER, they shook hands and talked more.
This is where Xefira's story begins.
