Time Frame: Legendary Dot Hackers Time (AKA the first 4 games)
Story:
Right now The World is in chaos, yet the players are blissfully unaware. While Kite and crew fight off the factions of Morganna to save the fallen players the game is running normally for everyone else.
In the event The Dark Winds, only one player beats it, and its a newbie of all players. The odd thing is when she returns to the root town she finds herself with amnesia as she questions who she is.
Because she won the event, somehow without recollection, she gets the nickname Naomi of the Dark Winds.
Later on she realizes she can't log out, as players question her about her stuff on the forums and in real life.
Eventually she befriends a player, along with a hacker, and learns who she really is.
SPOILER- In reality she isn't a player but actually a fragment of Aura. Aura was running from Skeith and she found the event area for the Dark Winds event, so there she rested and split part of herself off and fled. That fragment went through a player, named Naomi, and copied that player's data. That player quit shortly there-after because they did not want to continue playing The World. Think of Naomi, the aura fragment, as Aura's backup file. So if Aura were to be destroyed Naomi could take her place.
