What is the job of a writer, obviously to inform. People may not want to here what you have to say but you must tell them anyway. Being a writer whether it's a poet or a journalist you mention facts, your strong felt opinion is your own fact. A writer's job isn't to inspire or put down. It's to always tell the truth whether it be about you or questioning someone's morales.
Not everyone has what it takes because writing is a talent. You don't have to have great spelling or grammar that's what editors are for, but you do have to have a story to tell.
You should be persuasive when writing so that most will agree and cling to your words, but not get upset when people don't like your work. Many truthful writer's are hated because readers know there faults and are upset when they read about it.
If you truely want to write and need a head start look at your surroundings, look at your passion, look at your faults or just look at yourself. See a flaw or see something remarkable and unusual and write about it. Don't stop writing to eat or sleep just write until you fingers beg for mercy and then not only will you be a writer but you will be a dedicated writer. Dedicated writers are worth twelve times more than someone who writes for fun because it's there passion, it's there goal and it's who they are.
