Soooo… I haven’t written in here in about forever, so let’s catch up! Not much has happened in the last several months. Well, not anything anyone would be interested in, anyway. I stopped going on Gaia for about 4 months, and I’m finally back on. You can’t keep me away, Gaia biggrin
Well anyways, its been this last week or so that has been exciting.
I went to the airport yesterday-Oh my gosh it was awesome!!!!
This is how it went:
The first was my dad’s birthday heart We went shopping early in the day, and I cooked for most of the rest. Oh! I saw a coyote on our driveway on the way home. I haven’t seen one for a good ten years, but I sure hear them often. Mom made strawberry ice cream with the fresh berries dad bought from a farmer a few days before (we bought fresh raspberries on our way home from the same people. Oh my gosh they were good!). I made a three layer German Chocolate Cake with a coconut/pecan glaze. My aunt and uncle (my dad’s sister and brother-in-law) came for dinner. We ate steak, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob.
Everything tasted great. I was so happy biggrin
And than there was the good ol’ Forth of Ju-ly. They had the firework show again at the Fort, (they didn’t have it last year) and once again I have not gone. Next year, hopefully.
OMG the dog wouldn’t stop barking scream Stupid country folk, doing fireworks before the forth even though it’s illegal…
So! I went and saw sissy one last time before she went back home. She gave me five manga she didn’t want anymore, and I thank her for that. The manga she gave me were Fullmetal Alchemist light novels 2 and 3 (I already purchased the first from her), book 2 of Wish by CLAMP (she didn’t have the first one, but I don’t think I needed it. Very cute story, I like it a lot, but the men’s shoulders are huge, oh my gosh gonk ), Rg Veda (also by Clamp), and R.O.D. Read or Die. I watched the movie and the series, so I was pleased to get the first book. Unfortunately, it was hard to decipher the first 4 or so chapters. I don’t know if it was the editing into English or the paneling, but it was a little hard to understand what was happening. But that’s okay!
Anyway, I wish I could have seen her more. Maybe next time.
Back when my parents first moved in to the house 15 some years ago, you could see the fireworks show from up here. But the trees have grown a lot since than, so you can barely see them through the thick growth of trees. You certainly could hear them, though. We found a couple of roman candles, several bottle rockets, and a few other things, so we shot them all off. It was great!
(As I write this, my cat, Yuki, is smothering me with her cuteness)
We watched The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It was pretty good ^^
We were expecting my aunt and uncle, since we were to drop them off the next day. They arrived at 11 PM, and once they had gotten settled in, I went to bed
So it’s the next day, and I got up at five in the morning. I was all ready pretty quickly, and than dad, aunt, uncle, and I got in their car and headed the airport. As we talked, they mentioned they saw a coyote pup when they arrived the night before. I’ve seen a lot of baby bunnies lately, they’re so cute!!!
We got to the airport at around 6 something. I love airplanes!! We dropped them off and than went to the parking garage. The curved road heading upwards on the parking garage always scares the crap out of me sweatdrop We mostly hung around the airport for an hour, but it was fun! There were so many people, and of so many races. I had to have heard at least 5 different languages!
I saw a guy that looked like Johnny Depp. I am about 98% sure it wasn’t, but if it was I would probably have a panic attack to think I got within 3 feet of him XD
Once they were about to board their plane, we went back to the car and watched the planes for awhile. For some reason, the planes seemed bigger up in the sky than they do up close. There was this one plane that was lime green and had propellers. It was pretty cool looking. There were also a lot of private planes, and across the tarmac there was the Oregon Air National Guard, so seeing all the fighter planes was a fun experience. Also on the other side of the way was the UPS plane. Oh my gosh, it was huge!!! (That’s what she said XD)
We watched a few planes take off; which I had never seen before. It never ceases to amaze me, even if I know the whole science behind it.
And than we went home! I was freaking tired. My father and I finished Inglorious Basterds. It was a good movie I guess, but Tarantino’s sense of humor is so dark it’s not even very funny. I’d rather watch a Coen brother’s film any day.
At around 5 PM, I fell asleep in the living room. On the floor, at that. I didn’t really wake up until 9:30 PM, I was so tired.
And now it’s the next day!
My aunt and uncle will be back next Thursday, so we get to pick them up again and see the planes! Yay!
It's been pretty cool these last few days. It was cold yesterday, staying in the upper 60s. It's a lot hotter today, though.
(Wow, I have written alot :O)
I’m hoping to go shopping this Friday. It’s kind of my birthday shopping (even though my birthday was almost 3 months ago) and I decided to bundle it with (early) back to school shopping, so I can buy more stuff ><
So, hopefully, I’ll write back in here soon!
