Army Wife

A strength compared to none

Not only have I experienced the Military

I endure it for the sake and love of one far away

My tears are never ending.

What many would consider a weakness

would be understood by few

For these tears are not weakness.

Each single drop from the eye

Is a sign of strength and power.

No one can understand the life of a wife

when one is deployed.

They are in their own war zone fighting their war at home.



My strength is stronger than any will understand

My Love has endured the hardship of separation

My life has been on an endless roller coaster

But no matter what one will never get off til the end.

Each day

Each hour

Each second of a life

I can only think of the one I love, the one I wish to hold tight

Comfort is given by words and talks

And it gets difficult when time seems to never end

Yet this difficult increases faith and love

Endless and abounding.

The test of time and power will never defeat the power of the Army Wife for her Soldier.



Always bending

But never broken

The wife can stand strong like any tree.

They have a foundation that holds them strong, that lets them be the strength for their husband overseas.

The foundation is for their children, who wish to see their Dad.

The foundation is for the family, who wants to see their son come home.

The Army wife is the hardest job any will hold

And the most satisfying in the end.

Its not much and I want to add more. Its not really a poem, its more of me just writing. These last few weeks have been trying for me and I'm not sure why. However, this poem is what I think about and hold on to. Daryl means the world to me and all I want is him safe and sound home in my arms.



This poem is dedicated to him, for I wouldn't be a wife otherwise or a mom to a beautiful daughter.
