The year is 1813, and Napoleon is conquering Europe. Only a few European countries hold fast, one of them being the sea-fairing nation of England. But, unfortunately for a small hamlet called Saxaca, located on the Scottish border and on the English coast of the Irish Sea, the war is the least of it's worries. This town is often raided by Scottish brigands, French Pirates and Irish Rebels. But, yet again, these men are still the least of the villagers' worries. The beasts of the night are the problem. Many evil creatures dwell here, many concealed in human bodies and then turn at night.
The villagers' asked a garrison of soldiers, which they received, but the creatures still kill many. Will this hamlet survive and thrive? Or will the hate and aggression of the beasts destroy the town?
