Long ago the world was barren and cold. Life was non-existent and the world was a barren wasteland. But the rulers of the world grew bored. There was nothing for them to do. They created the world but nothing for it. So to cure their boredom the elemental gods stepped in. Each carrying a special gift. They combined their gifts and life soon grew on the barren land. Things turned from cold gray to lush green. Water was created to form all bodies of water. The air was now breathable and organisms started to evolve as the years went by. Wildlife bloomed and soon other creatures were walking the world. As the sun glowed lightly and provided warmth for all that lived on the planet. It was soon given the name of Gaia with the gods ruling over the lands. Their creations worshiped them. As the said gods or deities took great pleasure with the new races and their ideals. It seemed that their boredom had passed and now they had some form of entertainment. Now they had others to take care of and grow. Their barren world was not so barren anymore and it pleased them greatly. They now had something to do and things were peaceful as their new life grew and evolved as the years went by.
Years, months, weeks and days went by as the new life grew and thrived. They were slowly advancing in the ranks of technology. But with the advancements there came bouts of greed and power. They wanted more and those that wanted more researched whatever they could to gain more power. Everything in this world was run by magic. Since magic became a powerful part of their culture. But the creatures grew greedy, they wanted more power. Even some of the gods were growing restless as boredom seeped in. They wanted something, they wanted chaos and fun. But now with these people on their world it seemed that they could have even more fun, for they had pawns to play with now. Times took on a dark turn as war erupted across the lands. The power hungry creatures were ruled by the dark gods that were feeding their greed and need for power. They were the opposite of the light gods. Since every element had a negative pairing. Like fire and dark fire. That was how they kept balance in the world.
But the war engulfed the lands and people were dying. But the dark gods were having so much fun and didn't care for all the life that was lost. They even created dark races to combat the light ones. Those races were like vampires and demons. Hellish creatures that were created by desires and dreams of the greedy and power hungry creatures that roamed the land. It was utter chaos and lives were falling every day. However the light gods didn't like it. They felt the need to help their creations. So pooling together their powers they created five fragments. These fragments represented the main five element of the world, fire, water, earth, air and spirit. Together these fragments formed a special key that would unlock those trapped within. So once the fragments were created, they descended onto the world and captured the dark gods and all their hellish spawn. Together they shoved them into a gateway and locked them away into another dimension and broke the key. The fragments split into the original five pieces and were lost in time. As the dark entities were locked away, until the fragments were put back together and the key was formed.
From there Gaia took time to heal and recover from the wars that destroyed her lands. Of course the gods fearing the return of the dark gods separated Gaia and formed a new planet. A planet that was now known as Earth. Much like Gaia, the new planet thrived and grew as technology advanced to what we have today. While Gaia remained run by magic and where the dark gods were currently being held. The five fragments that disappeared were placed on Earth where nobody could find them. As Earth and Gaia became sisters on two different dimensional planes. Gaia was run by magic and Earth was run by advanced technology. Both worlds were never to meet and the people were never to cross over. That was the law and nothing would change it. Soon Gaia became revitalized as it once was, before chaos destroyed the beautiful world. Peace had returned but for how long? As both sister planets remained non-existent of each others' presence. While the fragments hid themselves on the beloved plant of Earth.
