Ah, do you like the title of this little "journal mini-series"? Onigiri -> rice -> spanish rice.
I think I will talk about the car trip, since I didn't talk about it in my previous entry. Stoopid moi. I haven't gone on a 5-hour car trip since... December of 2008. Luckly, we have a DVD player in my dad's new Pilot so I got to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid (better than I expected!). The rest of the trip I was listening to my music at full blast. >.> Rolling Girl is a good car/bus/moving vehicle song, for the record.
Last night, after I posted, we went to a locally owned Mexican resturaunt. I love fried shrimpppp ~ ! My dumb brother got a hamburger, however, and I had to tell him that the only person allowed to eat hamburgers everywhere is Alfred. He didn't listen. Anyhoo, I will never go back to Taco Cabana now.
So, what did Neko-giri do TODAY?! Well, my dumb-hamburger-brother had his first baseball game (I almost forgot why I'm here! It's that exciting!) and lost. ;; <- Yes, I have compassion! At the field, there were seagulls, and for some reason, I remembered the time that I went to the pool and swallows kept diving close to the pool. I dunno why. I'm just baka.
Then we went to the beach!!! And not just any beach, but South Padre Island!!!! It was awesome. At some point on the drive there, the earth just got flat, and you couldn't see any hills in the distance like what I'm used to. We passed a bunch of biiig fields FILLED with wildflowers, so it was like a sea of yellow with purple isles here and there. Then we actually got on the causeway, and the veiw was beautiful! The blue sea aganist the blue sky... now I understand why there are so many paintings of the ocean.
At the actual beach, I didn't get to go too far in the water because of a personal crisis. (<- Deal with my stoopid wording of things. I'll tell my IRL forest friends later or something.) But I did get to play with seagulls! I was chasing them off like an idiot and feeding them pizza crust -w-. I also collected a crap load of shells. Such pretty orange ~ There was also a drunk lady. Some of the people in our group tried to go help her out, but then she started throwing punches.... in the end, the police took care of it. At least she did not toss her cookies like that one time when I was in downtown San Antonio.... story for a different time. Bye guys!
