After a while, we still can't find anything. A few berries we stop to take after we're sure they aren't poisoness. We continue to walk, eating only a few berries. We save the rest in case that winds up being the only food we can find. I look over at Ada who's face is pale. Dehydration is starting to affect all of us, but she looks like she's being affected the worst. I put a hand on her arm,"Are you alright?"
She looks at me, then back forward,"I'm fine."
Her voice is faint and distant. Piers has heard me and looks over, stopping Ada,"Sit down."
Piers and I force her to sit down, and the others come over. Ada,"I'm fine, let's just keep moving."
Piers feels her head as I kneel next to her,"She needs water. She can't walk anymore until she gets some."
I nod and pick her up, which causes Sherry to yell at me,"Your not carrying her, not with your back like it is!"
Chris offers to carry her but I refuse,"I'm fine. My back doesn't even hurt."
This is true, the pain's basically gone now. Or I'm just use to it, either way I don't feel it. Ada doesn't really say anything as we walk. She wraps her arms around my neck and rests her head on my shoulder.
