I look at Claire and Chris to see that she hasn't let go yet. Chris is stroking her hair now, doing what he can to calm her. I look back at Ada. Luis, who is behind Ada and next to Piers motions for me to hug her. He keeps doing it until I mouth the words ok. I slowly take my hand off of her, which makes her look at me for a second. I see the look of loneliness in her eyes, until she looks away. Then, I put my arm around her. She doesn't change emotions, but sort of freezes, waiting for my next move. I pull her close to me, to where her arms are against me. I put my other arm around her. She leans her head against me, opening her arms and hugging me tightly. We hold for a while, then she lets go. I'm guessing it's when Claire let go, because I see her next to me suddenly. Clarie,"I think we should call our families before anything."
I grab my phone,"We should use one, save the other's batteries in case we need them later."
I hand the phone to them but Chris shakes his head,"You can go first."
I nod and dial my dad's number. Putitng it to my ear, I'm afraid of what I'll hear. A few rings later, I close my eyes. I'm about to hang up when the phone finally picks up. On the other end, I hear groans, the ones I'm too farmiliar with now. I open my eyes when I hear this, and the phone drops out of my hand. I never hear a sound of it hitting the ground, so someone grabbed it. I close my hand, putitng it to my side. A deep breath, and I'm sitting against the wall. No one asks what I've heard, because Chris has picked it up and heard what I heard. A small hand falls on to my shoulder. I see Ada's red shirt next to me. I wont look up. Luis' signature shirt I see to my left and another hand lays on my shoulder. I close my eyes, putting my hands on my face, and resting my elbows on my knees.
