I was struck with inspiration for this while writing for a roleplay, unfortunately as my muse is a harsh mistress, I had to write the poem before I could finish writing for the roleplay. Its fair to say that this is inspired by the relationship of the characters.
On another note, I really wonder if anyone actually reads these? It doesn't really matter, but I can't help wondering.
Ludic
When I'm at your throat
I'd prefer to be in your arms
Our dance of misapprehension
Has gone stale
In lieu of our taking up arms
Let us rage mutiny upon our strife
And not question this union
Logic is the enemy of love
If all is fair
Let our war become love
For our love is already war
Fear not concession's shame
We are equal partners in disgrace
